I think Konami made a huge mistake. The controversy this game is making in the media is free publicity. This kind of pro-banning crap is only fuel for those who are curious to see what all the fuss is about. There are tons of gory military games based on actual events out there. It is true that most of them are World War II games, but I personally see no reason why this story shouldn't be told. The game, in my mind, is no different than all of the documentaries that are on TV now. True stories of people dying, yes it is sad but war has been around since before people started recording history. Attempting to shield your eyes and ears to the reality that is all around you is pointless. It's just a damn game people, kids are playing them anyway, they might as well learn some resent history while they rot their brains away playing video games.

I mean talking to insurgents is quite ballsy. I'd say more ballsy than shooting them from hundreds of yards away. I'd settle for the second option myself, but I don't see why people wouldn't buy this game. I mean it's not like the profits would be going to insurgents. The over-sensitivity our society exhibits is just so 2001.
