The Sims 3 was EA’s best selling PC launch ever

June 9

Big surprise here, The Sims 3 sold over 1.4 million copies since its launch a week ago today on June 2 for PC and Mac which translates into the best-selling PC launch in Electronic Art’s storied history.

What’s more is that the iPhone/iPod Touch version of the game rocketed to the number 1 paid App spot in Apple’s App Store and, at $9.99 is still there ( I just checked to confirm).

You number savvy folks can also enjoy this figure: 7 million.  That’s the number of times players have downloaded user created content in the game and with such rampant success what will EA do next with the wad of cash they’re currently bathing in?
