Microsoft stealthily revealed a unique promotion for Silver Xbox Live members today allowing them to upgrade to a Gold membership for $1.

The promotion is available for a “limited time only;” however long that means is uncertain, but what we do know is that after the 30 days are up, you’ll be charged for the next 11, which, thankfully you can decide not to continue.

So those wading in the waters of Xbox Live with a Silver membership, now may be the time to give Gold a go, you know, if you’re into multiplayer gaming and exclusive downloads.
