Comic-Con 2009: Joss Whedon’s hysterical Cabin in the Woods ad campaign

July 29

SAN DIEGO — You all should know by now, we at Blast are huge fan of “Buffy” and “Dollhouse” mastermind Joss Whedon’s work. Be it by spiting the writer’s strike with “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along-Blog” or constantly giving us reasons to ogle Eliza Dushku and Nathan Fillion, Whedon is someone you should be aware of if you are not. Don’t believe me? Check out his marketing campaign for his new horror film, “The Cabin in the Woods”:

Not since HBO’s first “True Blood” campaign has a poster not only made you laugh but made you want to know just what the hell the campaign is representing. Whedon is master of cult hits, and “The Cabin in the Woods” looks to be the next one in a very long list. If anything, those posters will make you laugh.
