Oh, and as far as Terri "not fitting the target audience," don't kid yourself. It's an atrocity whose target audience is anyone with the money to pay for a ticket.

Saw this tonight and have to say I'm offended that Hollywood thinks this is what everyone wants out of a movie. I feel like my childhood was raped (especially when you factor in the G.I. Joe trailer).

I'm with Terri here. I am the target audience. I have http://www.gadgetmadness.com/archives/takara_transformers_masterpiece_optimus_prime.jpg as a display peice in my house. I even liked the first one. Yet, the movie was very poorly done. It was bright and flashy with no substance, and plot holes big enough to drive a transformer through. They go out of there way to introduce new waves of bots, then don't expand on them at all. Sure, there were some highlights but most of them involved Optimus pummeling multiple enemies at once. Syle over substance is one thing, but this movie had neither. No doubt, this will make a boat load of cash, and if you like seeing loosely tied together explosions and forced jokes, this one is for you.

I respect your opinion but obviously you are among the rest of reviewers, disconnected from what the real audience enjoys. The movie is about robots, and your ripping it to pieces like its supposed to be some Oscar Winner. Did the movie try too hard to be funny? In some places, yes..however it was still very enjoyable. You obviously fit in the wrong crowd for reviewing Action movies with "Robots". I recommend to you going back and reviewing whats true to your heart, things such as "Monsters Ball".
