Screenwriter Cinco Paul (“Horton Hears a Who”, “Santa Claus 2″) is teaming up with Jon Hale to produce the new dramedy “Nora”, to be produced by Beloved Pictures.

Paul and Hale wrote the story, which, according to Beloved President Caleb Applegate, is “profoundly believable and fantastically multidimensional.” The film is set in New Haven, Conn., and centers around one family dealing with loss and grief.

“I have known Cinco for years and have wanted to work with him for a long time” said Robert Abramoff, Vice-President of Beloved Pictures. “This project is a unique blend of a heart-wrenching story along with often hilarious situations that everyone can relate to.”

Paul also wrote “Despicable Me” starring Steve Carell and Julie Andrews, which is currently in production at Universal. “Nora” is slated to be finished next year.
