More celebrity babies joined the scene this weekend. On Friday, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden welcomed Harlow Winter Kate Madden at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. 26 year-old Richie, daughter of singer Lionel Richie, announced she was pregnant in July, amidst a court case held against her for driving under the influence.

After the ordeal was over, both Madden, a pop-rock artist, and the reality TV star have behaved responsibly, maintaining a low-key lifestyle. The pair even funded the Richie Madden Children’s Foundation, which donates Mom-to-be Kits to mothers in need in Los Angeles. Richie has said that after learning she was pregnant there was an “internal” change that caused her to mature. Hopefully she won’t be too strict with her little girl to avoid going through what her parents have.

On Saturday, Christina Aguilera was also at Sinai Medical Center giving birth to Max Liron Bratman. The singer made a public announcement through her website about the birth, saying Max was, “a beautiful, healthy baby boy.” Aguilera married Jordan Bratman in 2005 and learned she was pregnant during her Back to Basics tour. According to PerezHilton.com the boy’s name is of Jewish decent and means “greatest song.” Quite poetic.

Congratulations to the new moms and to the Hollywood paparazzi who must be eager to photograph these new stars. Next up: Halle Barry!
