When was the last time you managed to catch up to an ice cream truck? Better yet, when was the last time you heard that nostalgic jingle outside your door? San Francisco-based startup developer, Uber hopes to put a smile on your face with its ice cream truck summoning service being test-run today.

Users can use Uber’s app to summon an ice cream truck in areas of San Francisco, New York, Seattle, Chicago, Boston, Washington and Toronto. Trucks will be on demand from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in New York, and from noon to 6 p.m. in the other cities.

Ice cream orders will have to be made in bundles, and in cities like Boston and New York, you can order 5 ice creams for $12. The icy treats will vary from city to city. Bostonians will get treated to ice cream sandwiches and Klondike bars.

“We’re offering a new way to experience ice cream similar to transportation,” said General Manager Michael Pao. “Opening your app and tapping a button and having something show up is magical when it comes to transportation. We feel it will be magical for other things too.”

Uber will determine how often to offer the service in the future based on its popularity and demand today. If you have a few friends with a sweet tooth, what better way to beat the heat than to have a satisfying ice cream sandwich come to your door?
