re: chocolate

As a member of the organic Fair Trade community I'd like to add a correction to the E Magazine piece.

First, there are some other laudable chocolates out there that were not mentioned:

Cocoa Camino (Canada, 100% organic & Fair Trade Certified)

Art Bar (US, 100% organic & Fair Trade Certified)

Divine (US & UK, 100% Fair Trade Certified & Farmer-owned to boot)

Second, it was incorrectly implied that some of the brands listed were organic AND Fair Trade.

To be specific:

Endangered Species - only a few of their many chocolates are organic, and none are Fair Trade Certified.

Dagoba - only 1 of their 30+ chocolate bars (the Conacado 73%) is Fair Trade Certified. (By the way, Dagoba is owned by Hershey's, who are continuing to drag their feet on the problem of forced child labor.)

Green & Black - only 1 of their 16 or so chocolate bars (the Maya Gold) is Fair Trade Certified.
