My daughter appears to have a serious allergic reaction to PET 1 plastic. Not sure about others at the moment, but will check when I return home. My parents use a 2 gallon PET 1 container to store filtered water, which has been determined through elimination diet as the source of her hives and abcesses on her face! The doctors found a lytic lesion on her jaw a few months ago, and I switched her school cup to a different one at the suggestion of a friend. Her biopsy is in January. Can I ask them to test for chemicals as well as biopsy?

If you're looking for an alternative, less expensive source for high quality stainless steel bottles, visit CynerGreen's website and their kids website.
They promote plastic free and completely BPA free water bottles, selling both to individuals and in volume. They are also a totally green company which is important to me.

[...] And not all plastic bottles are created equal. There’s that little recycling triangle on the bottom with a number in it. One through seven, the numbers stand for different chemical composition of the plastic bottle. There is suspicion that #7 could be a baddie, also #3 and #6. At least one source says NOT to re-use plastic #1. [...]
