Going Down in History

Number 6 is going to be the number of the weekend, according to The Boston Globe. The Globe is reporting, as is the Herald, that the Sox will be retiring Johnny Pesky’s number over the weekend. I checked out the official Sox page and there are no press releases/statements yet, so I’m not sure when it’s going to happen, but the Fenway Faithful will be happy to welcome - officially- Pesky to the right-field facade.
