Pop group Hot Chelle Rae will be releasing their new song “I Like It Like That” featuring the New Boys on September 26. Their sophomore album will follow two months later on November 29. Their platinum selling song “Tonight, Tonight” will also be featured on the album.

Hot Chelle Rae band members include: Ryan Follese  on guitar and lead vocals, Nash Overstreet on lead guitar and vocals, Ian Keaggy  on bass and vocals and Jamie Follese on drums.

It is now widely known that Taylor Swift’s “Speak Now” is mainly consisted of songs that Swift wrote about the guys who she fell in love in the past but it is just surprising that “Enchanted” is about Owl City’s Adam Young, who remade “Enchanted” on the Valentine’s Day. With the direct message to Swift, Young even added some direct lyrics, such as “Taylor, it was so enchanting to meet you too.”

So, it’s very sweet that Taylor Swift was Adam Young’s valentine and such. However, what can we say while witnessing they are publicly flirting even though this guy has been saying he is extremely shy? How are we supposed to react?

Owl City’s second album “All Things Bright and Beautiful” is going to be released on May 24, by the way.

Taylor Swift, who recently released her album “Speak Now,” has been getting attention since those songs from the album manily focuse on her past love life, and there are romance rumors between Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal. Gyllenhaal’s “Love and Other Drugs” co-star Anne Hathaway, however, brushed off the rumors.

During an interview on MTV’s “The Seven,” the actress said, “I need to say, I have been Jake’s onscreen lover for many, many years, and I find it incredibly disrespectful to the lack of reality between us that you’re asking about something real right now. Why would you do that?”

Taylor Swift has been sold 1,047,000 copies of her latest album “Speak Now” in just seven days. Swift becomes the first artist to sell a million that fast since Lil Wayne’s 2008 album “Tha Carter III.”

Swift told the Wall Street Journal right before the album’s release, “People want to feel like they have a soundtrack to their lives. You want to feel like what you’re feeling, you’re not alone in feeling.”

Swift tweeted Wednesday morning, “I… Can’t… Believe… This… You guys have absolutely lit up my world. Thank you.”

Taylor Swift’s new album Speak Now is on pace to sell between 800-900 thousand copies it’s first week in stores, according to Hits Daily Double.

It’s Swift’s first album since her 6 million selling Fearless, which also won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year.

This will easily be the best selling first week of the year, topping Eminem, who sold more than 700,000 for Recovery. If Swift really hits in gear, she could hit the million first week mark, a rarely accomplished feat last done by Lil Wayne, with Tha Carter III.

“Back to December,” another new song from Taylor Swift’s upcoming album “Speak Now,” is currently making headlines because, for the first time, the song is about her who needs to apologize for her behavior in a relationship. Swift talks about the song, and has already admitted it’s about a young man whose heart she broke.

So fans are assuming it’s “Twilight’s” Taylor Lautner.

She sings:

No matter who she is talking about in this one, her consistent honesty putting into songs makes the tunes really outstanding and heartfelt.

So we just wondered what would happen at the VMAs tomorrow and here is the up-to-date info regarding the possibly crucial moment this year?

According to the Associated Press, Taylor Swift has written a song about last year’s Kanye West incident and will unveil it with a surprise performance tomorrow night.

Both Taylor Swift and Kanye West are set to perform but probably they won’t perform together then?

According to People magazine, weeks before the ceremony, this year’s host, Chelsea Handler, said she’d love to reunite the pair on the show since "we’ve never really seen them together since then."

Well, that would be really interesting because as we already know, West tweeted that he had written her a song for Swift but she is actually going to sing the song that she wrote for the hurtful accident that he caused. MTV declined to comment about the news, but we would love to witness the reunion tomorrow night, wouldn’t we? Stay tuned.

The 27th annual MTV Video Music Awards will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday.

So, what will happen this year? Let’s go back and refresh our memory on VMA. The most memorable moment at the last year’s VMA was definitely when Taylor Swift won the Moonman for Best Female Video over superstars like Beyonc©, Pink, Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson and Lady Gaga. While surprised Swift was giving the audience her acceptance speech, Kanye West suddenly appeared on stage. He took the microphone from her and said, "Taylor, I’m really happy for you and I’mma let you finish, but Beyonc© had one of the best videos of all time … of all time!" After West left the stage, Swift was left behind on stage, totally being spaced out and unsure about what just happened.

So, this week, just ahead of this year’s show, West has been tweeting to apologize to Swift for interrupting her VMA speech last year: "I wrote a song for Taylor Swift that’s so beautiful and I want her to have it. If she won’t take it then I’ll perform it for her." "We’re both artists, and the media and managers are trying to get between us." "I became George Bush over night." "I’m sorry Taylor."

Whether or not it is an appropriate way to apologize, what will happen this year? Here are some nominees for this year’s VMA.

According to MTV News, Lady Gaga’s got 13 total nominations such as in a single VMA year, and she’s also the first female musician nominated for two different videos in the Video of the Year category for "Bad Romance" and "Telephone" featuring Beyonc©.

Eminem got eight VMA nominations, including "Best Male Video," and "Video of the Year" for "Not Afraid."

In the new artist category, both Florence + The Machine and B.o.B. are up for five VMAs respectively, Ke$ha‘s up for three Moonmen and Justin Bieber is nominated as a Best New Artist for “Baby.”

Okay, we may have been unfair about the Lady Gaga and Elton John (though outfits were equally outrageous). That may very well have been the best opening to the Grammys in years. She might bring the word eccentric to a whole new level, but Lady Gaga knows how to work a stage. It was also nice to see respect given to Sir Elton John by transgressing from “Poker Face” to “Speechless” rather than the debauchery last year when Stevie Wonder was coerced into singing “Burnin’ Up” with the Jonas Brothers. New school and old school collaborations are always an interesting event, but it has to be done right.

Taylor Swift picked up a trophy for Best Country Album, but we wonder how believable her super-surprised face will be throughout the night if she gets brought up for any more awards.

Beyonc© also added more Grammy trophies to her tally, but was anyone else thrown off by that performance? Perhaps she might be tired of performing “Single Ladies”, but “If I Were a Boy”? The choice seems odd since it is not an upcoming single and not a reason for her presence at the awards this year. The split off into Alanis Morissette’s “You Oughta Know” was also random considering Morissette herself never appeared on stage. Beyonc© delivered a power-house performance as always, but the message was lost in translation on this one.

Multi-nominated Pink also wowed audiences with a flying-high trapeze performance. The stunts were reminiscent of her earlier VMA performance, but even more daring. At one point she was hanging upside down, held up by a thin sheet wrapped around only one leg, dazzling the audience while spraying them with water which had been poured down her body.

The Grammy Board was feeling a little bit country this year, awarding The Zac Brown Band with Best New Artist over indie rockers MGMT and catchy sensations The Ting Tings.

So far the Grammys have gone without any incredibly awkward moments, minus Stephen Colbert’s acceptance speech for Best Comedy Album. His intro remark “Since this is a Christmas album, I should thank Jesus Christ!” which was met with a noticeable silence from the Grammy crowd. His “..for having such an awesome birthday!” attempt at recovery didn’t help much, but alas no one rushed the stage to call him out on it, so consider it still a success.

Kings of Leon pulled a huge upset when they stole Record of the Year out from under Beyonc©, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift for their smash hit, love anthem of the year, “Use Somebody”. This upset may be a game changer for bets on the last award of the night, Album of the Year. Anyone still think it’s going to one of the three ladies of the night?

Still upcoming are performances by Taylor Swift and Bon Jovi (song chosen by voters on cbs.com/grammys), as well as an all-star Michael Jackson tribute presented in 3-D. Tonight has already been set up as a girl’s world with Beyonce, Taylor Swift, and Lady Gaga competing for all the top honors. Beyonc© has already claimed four of her 10 nominations, Swift has grabbed two out of her eight with a remaining five hopeful categories, including Best Country Song “White Horse”. Lady Gaga has also tied Swift for two trophies in the pre-telecast awards.

The ladies winning are not a sure thing though. Kings of Leon, who have already picked up a Best Rock Song trophy, could pull an upset in the Record of the Year category, and don’t forget party-jammers Black Eyed Peas who are also nominated for the biggest award of the evening.

Tonight feels like it might be the night for Beyonc© as far as awards go, but with the relevancy of the Grammy Awards up for debate, Blast is interested in a few other things besides trophies. Will Elton John manage to look more flamboyant in his intro with Lady Gaga? How many people will get poked in the eye by her outfit? How much money did the Michael Jackson estate rack up on those 3-D glasses from Target? The compilation album featuring musical performances from last Friday’s Hope For Haiti Now telethon debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 200 chart. The album sold 171,000 units and currently sits atop the iTunes top albums charts as well. "Hope For Haiti Now" also holds the honor of being the first digitally-exclusive album to be top of the charts. The charity album (artists donate their share in the proceeds to relief organizations) features twenty songs by artists such as Sting, Jennifer Hudson, Bruce Springsteen, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, and Beyonce. Three of these singles have already cracked the iTunes top twenty, "Hallelujah" by Justin Timberlake and Matt Morris (2), "Lean On Me" by Sheryl Crow, Kid Rock, and Keith Urban (12), and "Breathless" by Taylor Swift (19).

"Hope For Haiti Now" racked up these impressive sales numbers after only being available for pre-order beginning last Thursday and furthermore was the "biggest one-day album pre-order in iTunes history" according to MTV.com. The album proceeds benefit the following organizations: Oxfam America, Partners in Health, the Red Cross, UNICEF, United Nations World Food Programme, Yele Haiti Foundation, and the Clinton Bush Haiti Foundation.

Apparently it’s female reign at the Grammy Awards this year. Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga and Beyonc© were the popular names on the Grammy nomination list last night. Former Destiny’s Child front-woman leads all this year with 10 nominations, followed by Swift with 8. Gaga is nominated for Best Record, Best Album, and Best Song with them as well as two other nominations. The Black Eyed Peas and Kings of Leon also scored multiple nominations for the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards. A full list of nominees can be found here.

Awards will be given out January 31, 2010 in Los Angeles.

When Activision first gushed details on the kid-friendly "Hero" title, Band Hero, I truly wondered if the franchise had teetered over the ledge and into the abyss of total music-game proliferation. For goodness sake, 2009 alone played host to core installment Guitar Hero 5, as well as spin-offs Smash Hits, Metallica, and Van Halen. With the addition of Band Hero, the number of Guitar Hero titles in 2009 jumped to five, but what is the fifth one? How does it play? And why should you buy it?

Band Hero is Activision’s answer to LEGO: Rock Band and aims to corral and persuade the pop-loving, teen masses into grabbing a plastic instrument and rocking out with friends. The game features tunes from uber-mainstream acts such as Jesse McCartney, Taylor Swift, The Spice Girls, and loads more songs you likely never imagined you’d play in a Guitar Hero game.

There isn’t a heck of a lot about Band Hero that wasn’t covered in our hands-on preview, but now that I’ve jumped into the game for hours instead of minutes, there’s a little more to talk about.

First off, don’t expect anything different or significantly improved in the visuals department. Band Hero looks exactly like Guitar Hero 5. But this is not a detriment whatsoever. Guitar Hero 5 was the most phenomenal looking Hero title we’ve ever seen, and the minor tweaks Band Hero adds, only bring out the power of the engine that much more.

Band Hero’s menus are decorated with pink, popping, sparkly visual effects, and these adjustments clearly distinguish Band Hero from Guitar Hero 5. From a presentation standpoint, Band Hero just feels happier, if a video game could have emotions.

The game features every game-mode found in GH5, but has one significant addition- Sing Along. In this mode, Band Hero essentially morphs into a gorgeously rendered karaoke machine where up to four participants can simply sing along to any of the game’s tracks. The best part? Only one microphone is needed. Now, for me personally, this addition didn’t add anything. But, fill a room with little girls, and turn on "Love Story" by Taylor Swift, and well, it’ll be a different scenario.

The meat, however, of Band Hero, as with any music-game, is in its song list, and on this account, Band Hero excels. There are 65 on-disc tracks and all the downloadable content you’ve got on your hard drive also works in the game. For me it was rather comical seeing tunes from Metallica next to those of Dashboard Confessional, but hey, it works!

The tunes (here’s all 65), as previously noted, include radio friendly cuts from artists like Hilary Duff, Taylor Swift, The Spice Girls, Jesse McCartney and Fallout Boy. But the game also incorporates classics like "American Pie," in all its nine-minute glory and "ABC’s" from the Jackson 5.

Personally, I feel that Band Hero is a "guilty pleasure" music game. It’s hard for me to admit I enjoy listening to Taylor Swift, but when I’m actually actively playing along to her tunes, it’s a little different. Maybe you wouldn’t openly admit to enjoying these songs per se, but when they’re wrapped into a video game, something changes, and they become very much alright.

Of note: What I’ve always found interesting when comparing the Rock Band and Guitar Hero franchises are the differences in note charts of the same songs in both games. For instance, Dashboard Confessional’s "Hands Down" is in both Rock Band and Band Hero. However, the song plays far more simply in Band Hero, and speaks to Activision’s determined effort of accessibility over genuine (as as much as can be expected) musicianship, a gameplay facet that Harmonix tirelessly works to effectively recreate in its game.

Additionally, if you can’t deal with censors and omitted vocal phrases, you might have a problem with Band Hero. In Fall Out Boy’s "Sugar We’re Going Down," the line should that should read “I’m just a notch in your bedpost, but you’re just a line in a song” is sung in the game like this: “I’m just a notch…but you’re just a line in a song”

Good job Activision, you prevented some kid asking his or her parent "What’s a notch in a bedpost mean?"

Blast Factor: Band Hero is a phenomenally fun music-game. It doesn’t add a heck of a lot to the genre, but it remains cemented in excellence in gameplay, and the addition of Sing Along mode is gem hidden in the game that Activision simply did not hype enough. The 65 on-disc tunes are very surprisingly varied and altogether comprise a very wholesome attack from Activision at creating more than just a "kiddy" Guitar Hero title. In-game appearances by Taylor Swift and Maroon 5′s Adam Levine add a level of “whoa cool” to the game.

Band Hero is available for the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and Playstation 2. A copy of the game was given to us by the publisher for reviewing purposes.

Young Taylor Swift grabbed four CMA Awards, including Entertainer, Female Vocalist, Album and Music Video of the Year at The 43rd Annual CMA Awards.

The 19-year-old Swift is the youngest performer to ever win the award and the first woman since Shania Twain in 1999.

“I’ll never forget this moment,” an emotional Swift said in a statement, “because at this moment everything that I have ever wanted just happened to me.” Swift also joked about her infamous Kanye West interruption experience at the VMA’s. “I want to thank every single person here tonight for not running up on stage during this speech,” she joked.

In other news, Sugarland picked up their third consecutive Vocal Duo of the Year Award.

Of several noteworthy performances, four-time Entertainer of the Year Kenny Chesney performed the duet “I’m Alive” with Dave Matthews.

Taylor Swift has – quite understandably – had enough.

According to the Actress Archives, told MJ of Tampa Bay‚  radio station 93.3 FLZ’s “MJ Morning Show,” “You know, honestly, I’m trying not to make it into a bigger deal than it already is. It’s kind of become more of a bigger deal than I thought it would be. I would just like to move on a little bit… I didn’t know what to think but I think we should talk about something else. It’s nothing I feel like we should talk about.”

When MJ pressed on, he suddenly found himself talking to Taylor’s rep instead.

She has endlessly thanked friends, family and other celebs for their support all week – it’s no wonder she’s tired.

“Well, you know I think that the outpouring of love is what I focus on about that whole thing, and getting flowers from Janet Jackson is something that I never thought would happen in my whole life,” she told MJ. “Just everybody being supportive and showing love, it was really nice [to know] people I didn’t even think knew who I was were out there having my back and being really very kind to me.”

And, like a good country girl, she still hasn’t publicy bashed Kanye. More power to her.

Last night, Kanye West was due to perform on the very first Jay Leno show, along with Rihanna and Jay-Z. But in the wake of his major dis on Taylor Swift, viewers got a little extra.

Leno announced that Kanye requested some time to talk before the performance, and out he came looking abnormally humble.‚  What followed was extremely uncomfortable to watch.

First, there was the admission of guilt:‚  “I immediately new in this situation that it was wrong…it was actually someone’s emotions that I stepped on…it was rude, period.”

Then, it got truly painful. Leno asked Kanye what the late Mama West would think if she had seen the spectacle he made. Kanye was speechless and covered his face. After what felt like an eternity of silence and an awkward moment in which Leno put his hand on Kanye’s leg, Leno pushed forward.

“Would she be disappointed in this?”

Seemingly choking back tears, Kanye conceded that he would have disapointed his mother.

Wow. Sure, Kanye behaved like an idiot and hurt a 19-year-old girl’s feelings – but having to admit his dead mother would be disapointed on national television? Hopefully he’s learned his lesson, because that’s pretty damn rough.

Incidentally, the following performance was a spectacular collaboration of hip-hop titans.

You just know you’ve fucked up when goody two-shoes Kelly Clarkson calls you an asshole.

In a post on her blog, Clarkson went on a tirade against Kanye West that can only be described as the musical equivalent of Rocky Marciano’s “kill the body and the head will die” knockout of Jersey Joe Walcott in 1952.

It was a series of relentless jabs and hay-makers.

“What happened to you as a child?? Did you not get hugged enough?? Something must have happened to make you this way and I think we’re all just curious as to what would make a grown man go on national television and make a talented artist, let alone teenager, feel like shit,” Clarkson wrote.

She is, of course, referring to West’s outrageous, arch-asshole attempt to ruin the MTV Video Music Awards night for, of all people, Taylor Swift.

Because she’s such a fuckin gangster. Frankly, I’m surprised Swifty and her peeps didn’t pull out their 9′s and bust a few caps right on the motherfuckin stage, yo.

Clarkson goes on to say that she likes her “asshole ex-boyfriend” who cheated on her better than Kanye, and she admits she never even met Kanye!

Clarkson lost the VMA Moon Man to Swift, but said she was “excited” for her.

Pink, who also lost in the Best Female Video category to Swift, reportedly had to be stopped by security from rushing the stage and knocking Kanye on his ass, which would have been the best publicity stunt MTV could have pulled off, since they still try to call their awards show the “Video” Music Awards, even though all they do is replay episodes of “The Hills” and “The Real World.”

But back on topic:

“Kanye West is the biggest piece of shit on earth. Quote me” Pink wrote to MTV. “My heart goes out to Taylor Swift. She is a sweet and talented girl and deserved her moment.”

Hell, Mr. West, hath no fury.

Should we be surprised?

Kanye pulled another stunt at MTV’s Video Music Awards last night – effectively embarrassing Taylor Swift, Beyonce and himself.

When a stunned 19-year-old Taylor took the stage to accept the award for Best Female Music Video, she only managed to get a few words of thanks and surprise out before Kanye took the mic from her hands. “Taylor, I’m really happy for you, and I’m gonna let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time,” he said. And then he was gone.

Poor Taylor was left in stunned silence on stage and cameras turned to a clearly embarrassed Beyonce, who later won Video of the Year. During her acceptance speech, she invited Taylor on stage to give her another shot at her moment. A very nice gesture, but I doubt Taylor feels much better about the evening.

Country music’s favorite teenaged sweetheart has recently changed her tune, according to JustJared.com.

Taylor Swift’s fans would be surprised to find that Swift was rehearsing Tuesday night for the CMT Music Awards with none other than rapper T-Pain. ‚ In fact, 19-year old Swift tweeted to her fans, “If I said I was in the studio with T-Pain, would you believe me?”

Well, believe it, country fans. ‚ It’s‚ still a mystery as to what the two stars are going to sing together, but according to the MTVNewsroom, the duet is set to take place during the show’s opening segment. ‚ For now, fans will just have to be satisfied with the photos taken during the rehearsal, showing the cheery blonde Swift weighed down with chains and bling, giving us her best Zoolander face and throwing up gangster signs next to T-Pain.

Swift recently said that she would like to do a duet with rapper Lil’ Wayne, comparing it to the duet between Nelly and presumably her favorite artist, Tim McGraw.

“That would be awesome,” she said. ‚ ”I’d love to sing one of his hooks.”

The CMT Music Awards air this Tuesday at 8PM on CMT.
