Sasha Grey, a 23-year old former porn actress, recently read to the first and third grades at Emerson Elementary School in Los Angeles County for Read Across America Day.

The actress’s appearance, who has not been involved in pornographic films for the past two years, has ignited indignation from parents. Some parents have filed complaints with the Parent-Teacher Association, or PTA.

Grey has frequently appeared on HBO’s “Entourage“.

BLAST: So tell us about yourself. Where did you grow up?

Penthouse magazine founder Bob Guccione died Wednesday of cancer at a Plano, Texas, hospital, his family said Wednesday night.

He was 79.

Guccione died at Plano Specialty Hospital, with his wife, April Dawn Warren Guccione and two of his children, Bob Jr. and Tonina, at his side.

April’s mother, Georgann Flinchbaugh, told CNN that her daughter, who had been married to the publishing and entertainment magnate since 2006, was too distraught to talk. She said, “He was a wonderful man. She’s heartbroken. He was the love of her life.”

Guccione took published nudity to a new level with the hardcore Penthouse magazine, one of several magazine ventures he would launch, in 1965. He and Playboy magazine founder Hugh Hefner competed for the attention of men for several decades.

Guccione, who was married four times, also produced/invested in several movies, including “Caligula” and “Chinatown.”

Services will be private, the family said.

As porn movies continue to grow in budget and blur the line between controversy and mainstream, Lupe Fuentes is “super.”

The star of the latest big-budget sex flick, “Super Pooosey,” the 23-year-old Colombian/Spanish starlet portrays a feisty, tough good-bad-girl in a mainstream move for this hardcore adult star.

The trailer for “Super Pooosey” was announced on the Howard Stern show and already has tens of thousands of views.

“People are not sure what they are seeing; is it porn? Is it a mainstream movie? When everyone finds out what this really is, I think they are going to be very surprised,” said male porn star Evan Seinfeld, who is known, himself, for playing biker gang leader Jaz Hoyt in the HBO prison drama “Oz.” “Lupe is a superstar who transcends mainstream to hardcore.”

But perhaps most noteworthy about this tiny bag of tricks is how far she was willing to go for one of her fans. Last year, a man named Carlos Timmeron was traveling from Venezuela to Puerto Rico with a Lupe Fuentes DVD in his luggage. American federal authorities arrested him in San Juan on suspicion of child porn possession, because Fuentes is so small (4’9″) and looks so young. The man spent several months in jail awaiting trial, but when Fuentes found out, she flew to San Juan, with a lawyer, and testified that she was over 18 when the film was made, springing Timmeron and possibly saving him from decades in jail.

Fuentes sat down for a chat with Blast last week.

BLAST: Where and how did you get your start in the business? We heard you stared performing abroad?

LUPE FUENTES: I started in the business in Spain when I was 18. I was doing mainstream modeling and artistic nudes. I had a boyfriend who was a director, and I was offered a lto of money to shoot some hardcore porn — a lot of money! My teen site was blowing up on the web, and I was an instant success.

BLAST: What is the porn industry like in Spain?

LF: The industry in Spain is realy small. You cannot do much to become a big star in Spain. Most of the business as we know it is in the USA, mainly in L.A., where I live now.

BLAST: Tell us a bit about your personal life.

LF: When I’m not on camera shooting porn, I am really a kind of traditional teenybopper. (laughs) I live in L.A., spend a lot of time working on my site and chatting live for ilovelupe.com my official website. Also I do a lot of press and interviews, on Howard Stern, in magazines etc. I shoot for wicked pictures and of course my own production company, ilovelupe.

BLAST: August 2009. San Juan. Tell us the story.

LF: A man named Carols Timmeron was arrested when he came into the country from Venezuela with a bootleg video from my website, and the customs police thought it was child pornography. He spent nine months in jail, and his lawyer got him out on house arrest. The public defender contacted me and said the guy was a big fan and was in jail because the court thinks I am underage.

I flew down to San Juan and testified in the federal court room. All the news people were there. The prosecutors freaked out, because they usually win all their cases down there. I verified that I was 18 when I made the videos. He was set free, and we all walked out together. It was nice to help a fan. I love my fans.

BLAST: We hear you’re a classically trained ballet dancer. How does one go from “Swan Lake” to having anal sex on camera?

LF: I grew up doing ballet and synchronized swimming in Spain. Of course, modeling too and dancing at the parties, but I was always very sexual. The first time I saw a porn video, I was with a group of friends, and I was about 15. I watched how everyone was so turned on, I was like “I want to do that. I want people to watch me fuck!”

BLAST: Tell us about “Super Pooosey,” your latest film.

LF: “Super Pooosey” is my first mainstream movie that I am staring in and producing also. I love these kinda movies, in between classic Russ Meyer and modern “Grindhouse,” with some retro sexy! In a hardcore pornography feature-length film that probably cost as much as a minor Hollywood blockbuster to produce, Hustler has released a fully 3D porn parody of James Cameron’s “Avatar.”

There are three changed elements from the real movie to the porn spoof. The Na’vi are referred to as Na’bi, the planet Pandora was renamed to Panwhora, and instead of being after unobtainium, the humans are after viagratanium

We know you care about this part the most — the flick has a serious storyline. After the original events of “Avatar,” Jake reveals in a video diary that shows a darker side for the Na’bi. The Na’bi turn out to be “fetish-fueled sex fiends” who have a massive orgy after the human corporation leaves, and then reveal their true purpose for keeping humans in a surprise ending.

“It’s one thing when you have a job where you go to work every day and have sex in front of a camera. It’s another experience to come to work, and literally assume the persona of a being completely unlike yourself,” said pron star Misty Stone. “I guess they call that acting.”

And did we mention it’s a 3D movie?

“This is 3D technology at its best,” said Rob Smith, director of operations for Hustler Video. “Characters aren’t seemingly jumping out at you and there’s no need to watch the film in fear that something — or someone — might hit you at any time. That’s not the kind of movie we made.”

“We made a film, where, when you’re watching it in 3D, everything just seems to come alive. It has dimension, depth, and the sense that you could literally walk in to the frame at any second.”

The film is directed by Hustler’s Axel Braun and stars Chanel Preston, Nicki Hunter, Lexington Steele, Eric Swiss and Chris Johnson in addition to Stone.

It has been released on two-disc DVD and Blu-ray packs.

Mixed Martial Arts fighter Tito Ortiz was arrested Monday on charges he assaulted Jenna Jameson, the famous porn actress who lives with him in their Huntington Beach, Calif. home.

Ortiz, 35, and Jameson, 36, have twin 13-month-old boys together.

Daddy now faces felony domestic violence charges.

TMZ first reported that police went to the couple’s home around 10 a.m. after a 911 call from Jameson.

The gossip site said the retired porn queen had “visible injuries.”

Ortiz is 6-foot-3, 205 pounds and is a former UFC champion. Jameson is 5-foot-7, 110 pounds.

She told TMZ she plans to press charges.

Digital forensics provider Paraben Corporation has released a new product designed to detect porn on a person’s computer.

According to Paraben, the average age of a person first exposed to pornography online is 11 — whether on purpose or .. cough … not.

The Paraben Porn Detection Stick scans a PC and peripherals like flash cards and external hard drives and seeks out all those nekkid pics.

“Creating a tool that empowers parents with the ability to find risks to their children was very important to me as a parent and as a professional fighting crimes against children,” said Amber Schroader, CEO of the Utah-based firm.

The product’s internal software can scan images for skin tones and body parts on 15 supported image formats. It doesn’t say anything, however, about video files.

The product is $99 and promises a 99 percent success rate.

A one time Bridgewater State College early childhood education student was sentenced on child pornography charges Wednesday in a U.S. District court, the FBI reports.

Johnny Pires, formerly of Middleboro, was sentenced to five years in prison followed by five years of supervised release. The 24-year-old was convicted of “one count of attempting to receive child pornography and one count of possessing child pornography,” the FBI states. Last summer, Pires was acquitted on one charge of attempting to receive child pornography.

This case arose from an undercover FBI investigation that focused on individuals believed to be using file sharing programs to swap child porn. Pires used the popular file sharing program, Limewire, to share images of children engaged in sexually explicit acts.

During the investigation a federal agent downloaded several sexually explicit images from Pires and was also able to access his publicly shared Limewire folder, in which he found more images of children being sexually abused. Following this discovery, a search warrant was issued for Pires’ residence after which Pires confessed to accessing child porn through file sharing programs and to downloading sexually explicit images of children.

In court however, Pires refuted his own confession, claiming that he did not intend to download or share photos of children in such condition. A hard drive obtained from his residence during the search revealed several images of child pornography and children being sexually abused, all of which, the FBI states, appear to have been downloaded using Limewire.

Pires’ case was brought forward with help from Project Safe Childhood, which, launched in 2006 by the Department of Justice, aims to “combat the growing epidemic of online sexual exploitation of children,” according to the FBI. For more information on Project Safe Childhood, visit www.projectsafechildhood.gov.

Pires’ case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Thomas Kanwit of Massachusetts.

Penthouse Magazine has decided that you should want to mess with Texas in naming lone star beauty Taylor Vixen as the 2010 Penthouse Pet of the Year.

You may have seen the blockbuster “Zack and Miri Make a Porno.” The movie “Humpday” is nothing like that.‚ 

Both share some of the basic characteristics, however: two friends come together to make a porn movie. Both are dialogue-heavy comedies.‚  However, the gold is in the difference.‚  In “Humpday,” instead of the friends being played by two opposite sex buddies, they are played by two very heterosexual male chums.‚  Also, as much as the heavy dialogue succeeds in Zack and Miri Make a Porno, Humpday just gets bogged down in it.

The film opens at 2 a.m. when Ben (Mark Duplass) and his wife Anna (Alycia Delmore), are woken up by Ben’s bohemian, wild-man college friend Andrew (Joshua Leonard).‚ After the friends are reunited, Ben immediately loosens up his white picket fence demeanor to party hardy with Andrew.‚  Fancying themselves free-spirited and artistic, they decide to enter a film contest that is “so weird it pushes boundaries.”‚  They run with this idea, for better or worse, and decide that they should star in their own movie as two straight men that have sex together.‚  This boundary-pushing piece of art would be “beyond gay.”

With so much happening at the beginning of the film, Director Lynn Shelton leaves little of the characters to be developed as the film progresses.‚  She uses most of the good lines and events within the first 40 minutes, leaving the audience waiting for the last part of the movie.‚  This is rough particularly in a dialogue-centric movie, where the audience is not learning new things about the characters, nor does it have the events to move the plot through.

As a gay man, usually homoerotic subtexts will get me through any movie.‚  Humpday, for a movie about man-on-man porn, is charming in that is lacks any of this.‚  It is like the drunk, overweight fraternity guy, who always stands too close to you when he is talking with his shirt off.‚  In the current world of Bromance movies, (see “I Love You Man”) this movie is refreshing in that it balances the relationship between Ben and Andrew with Ben’s relationship with his wife.

Delmore, who plays wife Anna, gave the strongest acting performance in the movie. This may be due to the fact that she is given most of the best lines throughout the movie. Anna, although not directly involved in the relationship between the two men seems to be what holds the movie together, and makes it last its short 92 minutes.

The movie is believable.‚  After Ben and Andrew make the drunken, high decision to make porn, they immediately regret it the next morning.‚  However, neither of them wants to chicken out, so they both keep going along with the plan.‚  The film is great at depicting masculinity and male bonding in a humorous way, but seemed to let the audience down in terms of it being funny.

Yeah. You read right.

We’ve been talking a lot about television sitcom porn parodies, big budget sex epics, and even a porn star turned Hollywood actress, but now it’s time to get back to basics. Or, at least one director is taking a break from “mainstream porn.”

Hillary Scott, the million-dollar porn girl, is signed on for the cast of “Flight Attendants,” slated to hit stores in the fall. It’s got a plot and some dialogue, but it’s a pure, vintage porn scenario that the title kinda gives away.

“I am extremely excited to have some variety in my career again,” Scott said. “I look forward to working with old friends and new directors. Best three-way sex scene, best group sex scene, best oral sex scene — these were some of porn star Sasha Grey’s highest accolades until she was scooped up by Steven Soderbergh to star in “The Girlfriend Experience,” a mainstream movie chronicling the career and love life of an upscale escort.

“It’s a really great film to throw into contemporary American theater,” said Grey, looking more like the girl-next-door than the girl-doing-the-guys-next-door in a t-shirt and jeans. Grey sat down with Blast during an appearance in Boston.

Born in Sacramento, California, the 21-year-old entered the adult film industry in 2006, shortly after she turned 18. Since then, she has appeared in more than 80 films. “The Girlfriend Experience” is her first mainstream movie, and the work she is most proud of.

“It felt really natural,” she said of making the movie. “I felt completely in my own element.”

For a girl whose element is usually much raunchier, Grey found herself totally invested in “The Girlfriend Experience,” researching the role and even creating her character’s back-story.

She read blogs of real-life escorts and met with them as well. Her character, Christine (alias Chelsea), is guided by personology books and writes in her journal after every date, things Grey picked up from the escorts she met and thought would flesh out her character nicely.

Grey, who is engaged, said she doesn’t have a lot in common with her character.

“It’s quite different because I don’t have to go onto an adult set and pretend to be somebody’s girlfriend like Chelsea does, you know, I don’t have that intimacy with the people I’m having sex with,” she said.

But now, Grey is hoping to parlay her experience in “The Girlfriend Experience” into a mainstream acting career.

“It’s an uphill battle, so I know that,” she said. She has a few film offers and plans to get a casting agent soon.

“Even though I come from adult films, I’ve always felt highly respected from my peers and from my fans,” she said. “I have no problem having sex on camera but that doesn’t mean I have to look a certain way or act a certain way and if you want to hear my opinions, that’s great, and if you don’t, that’s fine too.”

She said working with Soderbergh was a new and thrilling opportunity for her. Grey praised his talent and direction. “There are the 10 probabilities of how the scene is going to be shot and he would come up with an eleventh one,” she said.

But working for the man who directed “Sex, Lies and Videotape” and “Traffic” could be nerve-wracking at times. Said Grey, “You go back to your hotel and you’re thinking, “God I wish I would have said this differently or done this differently.’”

Surprisingly, there weren’t any sex scenes in the film, though it was about a high-class hooker portrayed by a porn star.

“It would have been too easy to say, ‘hey we have a porn star, let’s put her in a sex scene’. Bqut most importantly what I think really distinguishes it is that this is a film about a certain type of prostitution. You have the cream of the crop women who are there for more than just the sex; they are there to create this fake bond where the client feels as if it’s real,” Grey said.

Hearing her wax poetic on the meaning of her film, it’s almost hard to believe a quick Google search will turn up video after video of Grey doing things your grandmother can’t imagine. But she’s a confident chick who has her reasons for her career choice.

“I’m in ultimate control, you know, I’m in control of my destiny whether it be adult films, music, acting, writing, anything. I would not be happy sitting at a desk nine to five,” she said.

Grey says the worst thing about her job is having to pick your battles and learn when to let things go, but she certainly seems to pick her battles well.

“Sometimes you might have strict guidelines and sometimes you might not, so I think that’s a really liberating thing as a young woman and as an artist,” she added.

Busy and loving it, Grey is launching her own adult film production company and plans to begin directing. She’s been promoting “The Girlfriend Experience,” working on her website, writing a sex philosophy book and she has an adult novelty line coming out this summer. “It’s non-stop,” she said.

Why is she working so hard? “I’m pretty proud of this but I try not to rest on my pride and I try to always challenge the last thing I’ve done,” Grey said.

Grey is trying to prove she is not just a porn star: she has a brain, an articulate voice and interests beyond sex.

“Music, writing, art, I really don’t have a limit, as long as it keeps my juices flowing. No pun intended.”

The million-dollar girl is back in a pornographic blockbuster, part of the growing trend of adult films with mega budgets and film elements — like scripts and special effects — usually reserved for “real” movies.

Director David Stanley and SexZ Pictures are putting together the dialogue-heavy “Fleshed Out,” set for release later this year.

The film’s synopsis reads like a really trashy paperback:

Lena (Kimberly Kane) is a cynical nymphomaniac whose idea of a good time is to hang out at the local sex club with her fuck-buddy Dan (Evan Stone). Lena’s worst nightmare is to be locked down into a serious relationship. As far as Lena is concerned, relationships ruin everything. To prove her point, she decides to take out her disgust on Maggie and Gerry (Hillary Scott and Voodoo), a seemingly sweet couple whom Lena catches cuddling at a local cafe. Lena seduces Gerry in the cafe bathroom and makes no bones in letting Maggie know it was her. What Lena doesn’t realize, however, is that Maggie is not the innocent girl she appears to be, but rather a psychotic police detective with a taste for sadism and a highly-evolved sense of propriety. That night, Maggie exacts her revenge on Lena, kidnapping her and paralyzing her with anesthetic to turn her into a sex slave for the pleasure of her and her fiancƒ©. But, as the night goes on, and it becomes clear that Maggie wants to not only use Lena’s body but to destroy it completely, Gerry begins to lose his nerve about going through with his fiancƒ©’s increasingly diabolical plan.

“Hillary Scott blew me away” Stanley said recently. “She is everything you could want in a star: beautiful, confident, voraciously sexual and a great, great actress. She definitely rose to the level of a champion. I couldn’t have been more impressed and I can hardly wait for people to see what she did with the role. It’s a nasty, nasty performance. Truly terrifying.”

Scott previously started in high-budget porn films “Corruption” and “Upload,” which won numerous adult film awards last year. She was also Marcia in the Brady Bunch porn.

“It was great shooting Fleshed Out with David Stanley because I haven’t made a lot of movies over the past year so I really want each one to stand out and be special” Scott said. “David crafted a great story and some awesome sex and I think fans will love this movie when it comes out.”

Scrubs star Zach Braff appeared‚ on Jimmy Kimmel Live March 25 and discussed the upcoming porn parody of the‚ hit ABC television show that made him famous.

The porn take-off on Scrubs is being produced by New Sensations.‚ Directed by Lee Roy Myers, the newcomer who also helmed the company’s‚ latest hit, The Office: A XXX Parody, the movie stars contract girl‚ Ashlynn Brooke, Thea Marie, Shane Diesel, Jack Lawrence, James Deen and Ralph Long.

Other members of the Scrubs: A XXX Parody cast include Alexis Texas,‚ Joanna Angel, Tori Black and Missy Stone.

“Scrubs’ is being made into a movie,” Braff said on Kimmel’s‚ late-night talk show on ABC. “I wouldn’t get too excited – it’s a‚ porno movie.” After the crowd cheered wildly, Braff exclaimed, “They‚ got more excited! Someone sent this to me, this is not a joke. They‚ are making ‘Scrubs’ into a triple-X porno. On the web they showed the porn stars that are playing each one of us.”

The creative pornography crew behind two Brady Bunch spoofs, Not Bewitched XXX, a Britney Spears spoof series and the early 2009 release of “Not Three’s Company XXX” announced they are putting out sexy spoofs of the Fox-launching series Married with Children and the classic Cosby Show.

“We have so many movies in various states of production that it really pushes us to our limits and challenges what we can get accomplished. Our little production company is now bustling with non-stop activity” said porn producer Jeff Mullen of All Media Play.

The latest series of spoofs also marks the emergence of starlet Teagan Presley as the new princess of poon and porn’s new “it” girl.

The Cosby spoof, “Not the Cosby Show XXX” starts filming Tuesday and wraps up just before the holiday.

Hustler released a PG-rated trailer for the sequel for the popular Brady Bunch porn spoof: Not the Bradys XXX: Marcia Marcia Marcia!

The top-selling Not The Bradys XXX is getting a sequel November 18 from Hustler/X-Play.

“Not the Bradys XXX Marcia Marcia Marcia!” replaces Hillary Scott with Bewitched porn star Teagan Presley. The DVD has eight sex scenes and more than five hours of footage.

“It is funny as hell,” said the film’s co-producer, Jeff Mullen.

“We’ve been getting requests for this new Brady movie for six months now and it’s going to be one of the biggest titles we’ve every released” said Hustler’s director of sales, David Diamond.

The first parody gained national mainstream media attention and has opened the doors for bigger and more expensive porn spoof productions of popular television shows.

“A parody of the popular Brady Bunch television show, the sequel shows that Marcia will do anything to meet pop idol Danny Jones but things turn sticky when TeenPop Magazine informs her parents she sent the rock star a dirty letter and her panties in the mail,” the producers laid out the plot in a statement last week. “Marcia gets grounded & fears her life is ruined before Danny pays a visit to her school and comes to her rescue.”

Porn veterans Alana Evans, Mike Horner, Lynn LeMay and Ron Jeremy reprise their roles, as do many of the stars of the original film.

Teagan is the latest in a string of yearly porn superstars, so she gets the lead this time.

A surprising beneficiary of the president’s Economic Stimulus Plan, aimed at encouraging spending and job creation, the porn industry recently enjoyed a banging good boost in profits, according to a research company that specializes in these kinds of things.

The Adult Internet Market Research Company, (AIMRCo) says that adult-themed and pornographic websites experienced a spike in sales and memberships during weeks in the spring and summer when people received their stimulus checks in the mail across the country.

“Many of the sites we surveyed have reported 20-30% growth in membership rates since mid-May when the checks were first sent out, and typically the summer is a slow period for this market,” said Kirk Mishkin, head researcher for AIMRCo.

The industry seems to agree, the stimulus checks did…er..uh…just that.

Jillian Fox, spokeswoman for LSGmodels.com, one of the sites reporting figures to AIMRCo, added, “In a June 15 survey to our members, 32 percent of respondents referenced the recent stimulus package as part of their decision to either become a new member, or renew an existing membership.”

The economic stimulus plan included checks of up to $600 for individuals and $1,200 for couples.

“Getting more people to buy porn was probably the last thing Bush had on his mind when he came up with his ‘stimulus package,’” Fox said, “but we’ll take it.”

Don’t ask how we know this, but if you take a look at Hustler Video’s Barely Legal #81 DVD, you’ll see a freckle-faced redhead named Faye Reagan in one of the five hardcore sex scenes.

That little redhead was recently hired by American Apparel to be one of their clothing models.

Reagan, who also goes under the name Faye Valentine and is modeling for American Apparel under the name Jillian, also appears to have a MySpace account like the rest of the world.

Apparently, American Apparel, like so many Americans, can’t get enough of the freckles. The clustered beauty marks and the red hair they are often associated with are both something of a rarity both in modeling and in porn, as buxom blondes and brunettes still vastly dominate the scene.

Perhaps that’s what makes Faye/Jillian so popular. Not only does she make no effort to cover her freckles, but it’s obvious that she’s covered in them, and we love it!

“We make movies that appeal to us from a creative standpoint,” said Mullen. “Then we determine if there is a commercial market for the project and execute an appropriate marketing campaign and so far we’ve been able to connect to a sizable audience.”

Sizable indeed. Not the Bradys XXX has been one of the top-selling porn DVD’s and online downloads since its release last year.

Not Bewitched XXX is due out in the fall and features Jenna Haze, Teagan, Eva Angelina, Sasha Grey, Nina Hartley, Aurora Snow, Ron Jeremy and Sunny Lane. A preview can be seen on their website.
