Mythic Entertainment announced that Ultima Online: Stygian Abyss will be released on September 8^th, 2009. It is the 8^th expansion pack to Ultima Online and promises to be a promising add on. The expansion pack revolves around the newly introduced and playable Gargoyle race. There will be expansive new environments to explore including the Gargoyle homeland of Ter Mur and the Stygian Abyss, the largest dungeon area ever introduced to the game. It will contain new boss monsters including Medusa, Primeval Lich and the Stygian Dragon. Players will also be able to enter Player vs. Player zones where adventurers will be pitted against one another.

There will be an Open Beta from Friday, August 14^th through Sunday, August 23^rd by logging on to the Retribution server. The expansion is launched as the series approaches its 12^th anniversary. While it will be a popular addition to the series, it is only available as a digital download and will be available via UOGamesCodes.com and the EA Store for $ 29.99, with an offer for 20-Day Game time and the Expansion pack for $39.99.

Additionally, players who purchase the expansion from September 8^th through the 29^th will receive a multi-use Alteration Token to transform their current characters into Gargoyles, an exclusive gargoyle craftable pet and decorative Stygian Abyss mob boss statues. Fans of the series will also be allowed to access the 7^th expansion pack called Mondain’s Legacy free of charge to existing subscribers.

Electronic Arts and Mythic Entertainment, publisher and developer of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning respectively, announced and detailed the final Call to Arms Live expansion for the ambitious MMO today.

Beginning next Tuesday, June 16 and running straight through to the June 22 players of both the Order and Destruction realm factions can take part in the concluding event “Rise of the Tomb Kings.”

But why wage war without copious amounts of booty and renown? I wouldn’t either. And the winning realm in WAR will gain access to the Tomb Kings dungeon zone and will first be able to reap the glorious benefits of such triumph. Furthermore, exclusive titles including Sky Captain for players of Order, and Master of the Air for Destruction as well as the rare as rare candy Ravening Cloak item drop awaits a lucky participant only during the event.
