Tufts University’s Beelzebubs—the real voices of the Warbles on "Glee"

If you close your eyes, you just might recognize them. The Beelzebubs, Tufts University’s all-male a cappella group, are the real voices behind the Dalton Warbles on Fox’s hit television show, “Glee.” But they do not fly to LA every week to sing, you can actually find them a few blocks from Tufts in a recording studio in Somerville, MA.

In 2010, when the group, nicknamed “The Bubs,” recorded a cover of Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream,” their first song for “Glee,” they could not have imagined that it would be so successful. Now, with about a dozen songs recorded for the show, it doesn’t look like the “dream” is going to end anytime soon.

“Teenage Dream” was recorded in a studio in New York, but once additional songs were requested, the Bubs began recording in Somerville. During the season, the group was only given a day or two advance notice for a new song, so each person went to the studio in between classes to record his portion, according to Michael Grant, Bubs member and business manager.

The group sound that you hear on the show is the result of music recording software. “We all record[ed] separately,” says Grant. “The finished product, we often didn’t hear until we saw it with everyone else online or on TV, which is surreal.”

Typically ranging between 11 and 15 members, this year’s group is composed of 14 singers, with half of them being first-year students. “That presents a lot of opportunities and challenges,” says Grant, who has been with the group two years. “[But] what’s great is that the common thread [of the group] is maintained throughout, which has been really cool to see.”

Founded in 1962, the Bubs are still very relevant today. They have recorded 30 albums and were even runners up on the popular NBC show “The Sing-Off” in 2009. Their most recent album “Battle” was released in 2011 and includes covers of R. Kelly’s “Bump N Grind,” Cee Lo Green’s “Closet Freak” and U2’s “Running to Stand Still.

The Bubs will be performing a variety of songs from their repertoire at the First Parish Church in Norwell, MA this Saturday. Songs range from a Will Smith mashup to a hit by Florence and the Machine.

The sold-out event, presented by the James Library and Center for the Arts, is one of the many performances that the Bubs have locally and globally. The group typically has three or four main shows at Tufts during the course of the year, but 70 to 80 percent of their performances are elsewhere, according to Grant.

They have traveled all over New England and even abroad to perform in places like Thailand, Argentina and France. “Performing for a foreign audience is very exciting in different ways,” says Grant. “But, I would say, with the recent traveling, it’s been even more important for us to come home and perform for our root audience.”

But whether you hear them at a concert, on television or on one of their albums, you will definitely notice that the Bubs’ energy is contagious. Fifty years after the group was founded, they are still having a good time and upholding their motto: Fun through Song.

Lea Michele, in an interview with Access Hollywood, warned parents about tonight’s “Glee” episode, titled “The First Time,” “Get ready – you might have to have a little conversation afterwards”.

Glee is known for being controversial, but the prospect of Finn and Rachel potentially having sex will inevitably send parents reeling. Michele said “It does make you talk to your kids about stuff – especially this episode will.”

According to GLAAD’s annual “Where We Are On TV” report about the number of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender characters on the five broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, The CW, Fox and NBC), the numbers have dropped slightly this season.

The study found that 2.9 percent of regularly appearing characters on prime-time network drama and comedy series this season play LGBT characters. This small percentage works out to be 19 out of almost 650 roles.

Last season, 3.9 percent of characters were part of the LGBT community, with a total of 23 out of almost 600 roles.

Fox portrays the highest number of gay characters, with eight regular roles. HBO has the most gay and bisexual characters with a total of 11.

“While the number of LGBT characters is down, some of the most popular shows with critics and viewers, such as Glee, True Blood and The Good Wife, weave storylines about gay and lesbian characters into the fabric of the show,” said GLAAD Acting President Mike Thompson, according to USA Today.

The number of lesbian, gay and bisexual characters on cable networks has also dropped to 29 from last season’s 35. True Blood holds the spot for most inclusive show on television, with six LGBT characters.

Glee joins other top shows suffering big drops

Christina Hendricks’ well promoted guest spot on “Body of Proof” didn’t yield any noticeable bump in the ratings, as the show was down from last week with a 2.4 in the demo, and 11.5 million viewers overall. That said, with those ratings this late in the season, “Body of Proof” looks like a lock for renewal in our TV Ratings Scorecard.

Earlier in the night, “Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution” was deadly for ABC, with a pitiful 1.1. “Dancing with the Stars” turned in a 2.9 for its results show.

“Glee” was down to a 3.7 in the demo after a return from a long hiatus. That’s a season low in viewers and the demo. Is “Glee” following other shows that have recently seen big drops, such as “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Modern Family,” or is “Glee” losing its appeal? Earlier in the season it nearly hit a 6.0.

“Traffic Light” will certainly be canceled; it turned in a 1.4 in the demo.

“Parenthood” made its case for a third season with a 2.5 in its season finale; that should be more than enough. It will finish the season as one of the peacock nets highest rated programs, where it would be a straggler on another network.

Jonathan Groff has just signed on to reprise his role as Jesse St. James on Glee, according to TVLine.com

Groff will appear in the final three episodes of the season, apparently intent on winning Rachel back.

Groff first appeared as St. James in the first season of the popular show, playing the charismatic lead of a rival glee club and a love interest for Rachel.

However, much of St. James character was muddled through often conflicting storylines.

Groff and Lea Michelle go back further than “Glee;” the two starred together in the original Spring Awakening.

The TV Renewal/Cancellation Scorecard has been updated to reflect these ratings.

“Body of Proof” debuted well for ABC on Tuesday, drawing a 3.0 in the demo and 13.7 million viewers. That’s more than most programs in the 10 pm hour draw, and if “Body” can sustain that, Dana Delany and ABC will have a hit on their hands.

“The Good Wife” suffered from the premiere of the similar-demographic-skewing show; “Wife” drew a series low 1.9 in the demo and 10 million viewers overall, its lowest ever also. With this drop, “The Good Wife” remains firmly in danger of cancellation.

Against fierce “Dancing with the Stars” competition (3.4 demo, 18.5 million viewers), “NCIS” and its spin-off held up well, drawing a 3.8 and a 3.5 respectively.

Fox aired repeats and a disasterious new “Traffic Light” (1.1 demo), while NBC squeezed a 2.6 out of two hours of “The Biggest Loser: Couples.”

8 pm

NCIS: 3.8 demo, 18.2 million viewers

Dancing with the Stars (8-10): 3.4 demo, 18.5 million viewers

The Biggest Loser Couples (8-10): 2.6 demo, 7.1 million viewers

*Glee: 1.5 demo, 4.4 million viewers

At just 23, Lauren Pritchard has a resume that many performers twice her age would envy. While trying to get her music career off the ground as a teenager, she landed a role in the original cast of the (eventual Tony Award-winning) Broadway show “Spring Awakening.” Now, five years later, the singer/songwriter is preparing a cross-country tour in support of her debut album, “Wasted in Jackson,” which was released in the U.S. this week.

Pritchard has found a happy middle ground for her two passions, in more ways than one. In person, she has the poised demeanor of someone with a theater background, but the nonchalance and occasional irreverence of a musician. Munching on a salad and barbecue potato chips at the Universal Records office in New York City recently, Pritchard chatted with Blast about the path that brought her to this point.

The title “Wasted in Jackson” is a nod to Pritchard’s birthplace — Jackson, Tenn. (During our interview, she repeatedly mentioned growing up in the “Bible Belt.”) Raised by parents whose musical interests include Al Green, Steely Dan, The Who, Prince and Foreigner, Pritchard recalls first falling in love with music while listening to “Best of the ‘70s” compilations during family road trips.

“That’s what kind of started the singer/songwriter thing for me,” says Pritchard, who now calls London home. “I was 10, 11ish … when I found people like Joni Mitchell and Joan Baez. … I was listening to music that was really honest, people really talking about what they wanted to say.”

Though she started piano lessons at the age of seven and played in recitals starting at age nine (“which I hated,” she adds. “I was absolutely terrified. I would, like, break out in a cold sweat minutes before”), Pritchard didn’t begin writing her own songs until age 14, when she bonded with other musically-inclined teens during a weekend youth group church retreat in Nashville.

“We sat around, just playing music and shooting the shit,” she said. “I went home after the weekend and wrote a song. … That was the first moment I ever had a real kind of jam session. And it made such an impact on me. … I already knew that was what I wanted to do, and that just sort of furthered that for me.”

Her parents, especially her mother, supported her passion (“not in a cheesy way,” she insists), and even allowed Pritchard to move to Los Angeles at 16 to live with her best friend’s family and pursue a musical career.

“I had very realistic parents,” she said matter-of-factly. “If they really thought that I couldn’t succeed, they would have told me to shut up and do something else. … You know, you see a show like ‘American Idol’ and you see these parents, ‘My child is the best singer in the whole world!’ … And you’re like, oh, what is wrong with you? My mother was never like that. … I had parents that were like, this is what you can do well, and this is what you should do. But it was never in a forceful way. It was something that I wanted to do. Basically, there was reassurance and moral support.”

Though California was a bit of a culture shock for the Tennessee transplant, (“I didn’t even know what the fuck Chanel was until I moved to L.A.”), she got an agent and began auditioning for commercials and bit parts to supplement her income, while at the same time performing as a backup singer/keyboardist in a reggae band. She found a network of supporters, not the least of which was her best friend’s mother, Lisa Marie Presley.

“A lot of the reason why I kept going is because I had people around me going, ‘It’s not going to be for nothing,’” Pritchard says. “When my mom left (to return to Nashville) … Lisa filled that gap for me. She was extremely supportive. … I owe so much to this woman. I wouldn’t have anything had she not let me live with her and had she not taken care of me. … She really believed in me.”

While finding her footing in L.A., a twist of fate led to what would be a life-changing resume builder.

As Pritchard tells it, “I went on an audition for this tiny little underground show called ‘Spring Awakening.’”

Supposedly hiding after co-star and ex Alex Pettyfer threatened her

It wasn’t so long ago that “Glee” star Dianna Agron was rumored to be engaged to her “I Am Number Four” co-star and beau Alex Pettyfer, but the couple’s recent breakup may have been much messier than many believe.

Us Weekly is claiming that Agron is fearful of what her “psycho, loose-cannon” ex Pettyfer will do now that they have broken up, and that Agron is staying at a hotel under an alias to hide from him.

The mag goes on to say that Pettyfer went so far as to threaten Agron. Pettyfer’s people are on damage control, phoning up everyone that will listen and spreading the word that its all lies. But is it?

E! Online’s “Awful Truth” says that it’s not so dire, but things still aren’t good.

“Things have definitely been intense, and Alex certainly can have quite the temper, but I don’t think she’s ‘terrified’ of him,” adds a source close to Dianna. “She moved out, and I wouldn’t say they are on great terms.”

So who’s right? Is former model turned new it-boy (based on the string of movies focusing primarily on his looks and little on his acting) really a “psycho?” Stay tuned.

V makes its case for a third season, The Good Wife makes its case for cancellation, No Ordinary Family too

ABC came in fourth place on Tuesday night, behind an increasingly weak slate of programming. “V” held steady however with a 1.9 demo. That’s in cancellation range for the network, but it outdrew the other two programs on ABC’s slate. Might ABC renew the drama? Unlikely, but if “V” can rise to a 2.0, it will make a case for a truncated third season. “No Ordinary Family” drew a 1.4 rating in the demo; it will surely be cancelled.

On CBS, “NCIS” and “NCIS: Los Anageles” both led their respective hours and were among the top programs on television. “The Good Wife” fell to second in its hour, and more importantly, drew just a 1.9 in the demo, less than half of the 3.9 demo “NCIS:LA” drew in the hour proceeding. While “The Good Wife” draws a lot of critical acclaim, its very difficult to see CBS renewing such a low rated drama. If the ratings trend continues, it will firmly move from the bubble, to likely to be cancelled.

“Glee” was up from last week with a 4.3 demo, while “Raising Hope” was about normal with a 2.5. “Traffic Light” drew a 1.7, and is sure to be cancelled.

8 pm

NCIS: 4.4 demo, 21.2 million viewers

Glee: 4.3 demo, 10.5 million viewers

Biggest Loser Couples: 2.4 demo, 6.6 million viewers

No Ordinary Family: 1.4 demo, 4.8 million viewers

9 pm

NCIS: Los Angeles: 3.9 demo, 18.6 million viewers

Biggest Loser Couples: 3.1 demo, 8.3 million viewers

Raising Hope: 2.5 demo, 6.2 million viewers

V: 1.9 demo, 5.1 million viewers

9:30

Traffic Light: 1.7 demo, 4.1 million viewers

10 pm

Parenthood: 2.1 demo, 5.5 million viewers

The Good Wife: 1.9 demo, 11.5 million viewers

What Would You Do?: 1.4 demo, 4.1 million viewers

Mildly disappointing viewership

“Glee” had its much hyped post-Super Bowl episode last night..duh, after the Super Bowl, and it was a ratings blockbuster compared to its regular averages…but otherwise it wasn’t anything especially notable.

The episode drew 26.8 million viewers, and a 11.1 rating in the adults 18-49 demo. While that’s great and far above the show’s normal viewership (generally around 11 million viewers and a 4.5 demo rating), it’s not gangbuster.

Last year, “Undercover Boss” premiered after the Super Bowl and drew more than 38 million viewers. When “House” aired after the game, it drew about 29 million viewers. Way back when, “Grey’s Anatomy” drew 37 million viewers after the game.

“Glee” will ultimately be the third-lowest rated program in the last 7 years, and right in the middle of the last decade of post-Super Bowl shows. Not a bust or a blockbuster.

But lets face it–”Glee” has a built in audience–and it doesn’t exactly mesh with the football crowd, despite its best attempt last night at a football centric episode. The show has also been a huge pop culture phenomenon for the past two years, so many who were curious have probably already sampled the show.

On a bright note, “Glee” did out-rate “The Office” when it aired after the game; that show drew 22 million viewers and an 11.0 in the demo.

“Grey’s Anatomy” is the last show that saw a huge uptick in regular viewership after the Super Bowl. It’s average rose by more than 5 million viewers each week, and the time slot helped make it into the hit is was in its prime.

“Glee” is unlikely to see the same sustained benefit. My guess is that ratings for Tuesday night’s all-new episode are back in the range of typical viewing levels–at best an uptick to 13-14 million viewers and a demo rating slightly over 5.0. But otherwise, you have to wonder if airing “Glee” after the Super Bowl was a good idea, or was it a waste of an opportunity to expose a show?

But how much good will does that buy with CBS?

ABC’s Tuesday lineup remains a complete wash. There is no doubt “V” will be cancelled at the conclusion of its current run. With another week below a 2.0 in the demo, “No Ordinary Family” seems destined to end this season as well.

The Biggest Loser Couples (8-10): 2.8 demo, 8 million viewers

Glee (repeat): 1.4 demo, 4.4 million viewers

A “Glee” rep told the LA Times on Saturday that “Several ‘Glee’ cast members have come down with tonsillitis, forcing the show to shut down production today.”

According to Entertainment Weekly, due to the same reason, production on the series has been canceled for today although the cast and crew are currently shooting the post-Super Bowl episode and were supposed to film one of the biggest musical numbers this evening on location. However, production will resume on Monday and the scenes planned for tonight will be rescheduled for January.

Also, Dianna Agron tweeted, “Note to self…should have gotten a flu shot. In bed, hoping that medicine, soup, my computer and a marathon of movies will be the cure.”

“Personally, I think it’s not a big deal,” Salling said October 21 in a radio interview with Los Angeles radio station 102.7 KIIS FM. “Lea is 23 years old and has every right to do that. I mean, come on! We’re obviously not in high school. It’s tongue-in-cheek that we’re in high school. People are starving, (Dallas) Cowboys are losing — there’s more important things to worry about in the world.”

Yes, it was his response to inflammatory criticism from the Parents Television Council, which slammed the sexy GQ photos as “near-pornographic pedophilia.”

Sorry for controversy caused by racy photos

Glee star Dianna Agron has taken to her blog to apologize for her GQ cover…though in an acerbic manner.

“In the land of Madonna, Britney, Miley, Gossip Girl, other public figures and shows that have pushed the envelope and challenged the levels of comfort in their viewers and fans…we are not the first,” she wrote in a blog post. “Now, in perpetuating the type of images that evoke these kind of emotions, I am sorry.

“If you are hurt or these photos make you uncomfortable, it was never our intention. And if your eight-year-old has a copy of our GQ cover in hand, again I am sorry. But I would have to ask, how on earth did it get there?”

See the pictures that started the controversy

“Nobody is perfect, and these photos do not represent who I am…Glee is a show that represents the underdogs, which is a feeling I have embraced much of my own life, and to those viewers, the photos in GQ don’t give them that same feeling. I understand completely.”

Agron went on to say that the shoot wasn’t the cast’s idea, but they went along it with, after some cajoling on GQ’s part.

“At the time, it wasn’t my favorite idea, but I did not walk away. I must say, I am trying to live my life with a sharpie marker approach. You can’t erase the strokes you’ve made, but each step is much bolder and more deliberate. I’m moving forward from this one, and after today, putting it to rest. I am only myself, I can only be me.

“These aren’t photos I’m going to frame and put on my desk, but hey, nor are any of the photos I take for magazines. Those are all characters we’ve played for this crazy job, one that I love and am so fortunate to have, each and every day.”

With “Glee” and “Raising Hope” in re-runs, “Running Wilde” was left to fend for itself against a tough CBS slate, where it was pummeled, drawing a lowly 1.3 demo rating and 3 million viewers. This one will not get a back nine folks, not on Fox.

CBS handily won the night. At 8, without “Glee,” “NCIS” rose to a 4.2 demo rating and 19 million viewers. “NCIS: LA” was also up to a 3.9 rating and 16 million viewers. “The Good Wife” was steady with a 2.6 rating and 12.3 million viewers. That’s somewhat on the low end for CBS though; “The Good Wife” should be on notice.

ABC had an up and down night; “No Ordinary Family” continued to decline to a 2.2 rating and 7.4 million viewers. “Dancing with the Stars” was top for the net, drawing 15 million viewers and a 3.1 demo rating, to see Florence Henderson go. “Detroit 1-8-7″ continued to be very low, with a 1.9 rating and 8.3 million viewers.

NBC wasn’t much of a factor. “The Biggest Loser” averaged 7 million viewers and a 2.5 rating from 8-10, and “Parenthood” was last with a 1.9 rating and 4.8 million viewers.

TMZ reports, the Parents Television Council has released a statement thrashing producers for allowing Dianna Agron, Cory Monteith and Lea Michele (fyi: all of them are over 21) to participate in a “hyper-sexualized” photo shoot for the November issue of GQ.

The Parents Television Council declared, “It is disturbing that GQ, which is explicitly written for adult men, is sexualizing the actresses who play high school-aged characters on ‘Glee’ in this way. It borders on pedophilia.”

“By authorizing this kind of near-pornographic display, the creators of the program have established their intentions on the show’s direction. And it isn’t good for families.”

Agron and Michele are 24, and Monteith is 26, And the cover is not really extremely sexual, comparing with the fully-naked ones out there. What do you think? Do you like the cover? Did Glee, a high school show, go too far?

Detroit 1-8-7, Running Wilde eye cancellation

The fall of 2010 is looking quite bleak for many of the television networks; there have been no breakout hits, and many shows are sliding into cancellation territory very early.

“No Ordinary Family” continued its downward trend last night, drawing a 2.3 rating and 7.6 million viewers at 8 p.m. “Dancing with the Stars” was better at 9 p.m, averaging 15.6 million viewers and a 3.4 rating. “Detroit 1-8-7″ remained low at 10 with a 1.7 rating and 7.5 million viewers.

Fox is having similar woes, but at the end of the night. “Glee” is still the highest rated scripted show on television, averaging a 4.6 rating and 11 million viewers. “Raising Hope” still had some hope with a 2.6 rating and 6.3 million viewers. But at 9:30, “Running Wilde” averaged only 3.5 million viewers and a 1.5 rating. Expect it to get canceled very soon.

CBS was typically strong with “NCIS” drawing a 3.9 rating and 19 million viewers. “NCIS: LA” pulled a 3.5 rating and 16 million viewers. “The Good Wife” led at 10 p.m. with a 2.6 rating and 11.7 million viewers.

NBC had a rough night; “The Biggest Loser” drew a 2.6 rating and 7 million viewers from 8-10; “Parenthood” was weak with a 1.9 rating and 4.7 million viewers at 10. With those numbers, it may not get immediately canceled—but it’s not coming back next fall.

No Ordinary Family has solid premiere

The Britney Spears themed episode of “Glee” really did the trick for Fox, as the show’s ratings rose 5% from it’s season premiere 13.3 million viewers and a 5.8 rating, leading Fox to a victory for the night in adults 18-49. New comedy “Raising Hope” benefitted from the boost slightly, as it’s ratings rose to 7.5 million viewers and a 3.2 rating. “Running Wilde” dropped however to 4.7 million viewers and 2.1 rating. The Will Arnett/Keri Russell comedy from the “Arrested Development” creators is now on cancellation watch.

CBS was second in young adults for the night, though first in total viewers, thanks to a strong showing from “NCIS” at 8 p.m. The show averaged 18.7 million viewers and a 4.0 rating. “NCIS: LA” averaged a 3.7 rating and 16.4 million viewers at 9, good for second place. The second season premiere of the “Good Wife” premiered to 12.9 million viewers and a 2.5 rating at 10. That’s down from it’s 3.1 rating from its season premiere last year, but the show still led the hour.

ABC was second in the night for total viewers and third in the demo, and got a good helping from new dramedy “No Ordinary Family.” The superhero show premiered to 10 million viewers and a 3.1 rating, making it ABC’s only real successful series premiere so far this season. “Dancing with the Stars” was potent at 9, averaging 16.4 million viewers and a 3.7 rating. ABC’s night was dragged down by a poor performance of “Detroit 1-8-7″ at 10 p.m. however, which averaged 9 million viewers and a 2.2 rating. There was a “Dancing” overrun however, so “Detroit’s” numbers should be lower in the finals. Michael Imperioli should be warned; it too is on cancellation watch.

NBC was in fourth for the night with a poor performance. “The Biggest Loser” averaged 7.1 million viewers and a 2.7 rating from 8-10, hurting leadout “Parenthood,” which pulled in 4.8 million viewers and a 1.9 rating, it’s lowest ratings ever. The return of “The Good Wife” really hurt the show.

Glee posts big ratings

Television phenomenon “Glee” returned last night to open is sophomore season with more than 12 million viewers, and a exceptional 5.5 in the 18-49 demo, leading all shows for the night. That’s way above it’s first season average, when about 9 million viewers tuned in with a 4.0 in the demo. “NCIS” had a strong showing as well, with 19 million viewers and a 3.9 in the demo, good for second at 8 p.m.

“Dancing with the Stars” averaged 15 million viewers and a 3.4 in the demo from 8-9 p.m., while “The Biggest Loser” posted a 3.0 from just over 7 million viewers over its two hours. “One Tree Hill” was last at 8 p.m., pulling a 0.9 in the demo and under 2 million viewers.

After “Glee’s” big number however, Fox dropped considerably with the premiere of new comedies “Raising Hope” and “Running Wilde.” “Hope” averaged a 3.1 rating and nearly 8 million viewers; “Wilde” brought in over 8 million viewers but a much softer 2.5 demo rating. “Life Unexpected” was at the back for the CW with a 0.7 rating and 1.5 million viewers.

“NCIS: Los Angeles” was strong for CBS from 9-10 p.m., drawing 14.5 million viewers and a 3.2 demo rating, but that’s down from last season when it averaged 16 million viewers and a 3.5 rating.

ABC was unable to lure great numbers to Michael Imperioli’s new police drama at 10. It averaged 9.8 million viewers, but just a 2.4 demo rating, tied with “Parenthood,” which averaged nearly 6 million viewers. With “The Good Wife” returning next week, and “Parenthood” typically the hour’s leader in the demo, if “Detroit 1-8-7″ falters much it will find itself in third for the hour, and on the fast track to early cancellation.

LOS ANGELES — For any "gleeks" out there like myself, Glee Karaoke Revolution is a game that you will want to get your hands on. This game is special because it is the tenth release for the Karaoke Revolution franchise and they wanted to pick something special. The presenter and the Konami press conference stated they chose Glee because it has inspired the nation, has over 12 million viewers and the music has made it to number one on the billboard.

A great surprise at E3 was when Konami had the Powerhouse Choir from John Burroughs High School in Burbank California perform "Somebody to Love." This choir is one of the top show choirs in the nation and was an inspiration to the creators of glee and they have even performed on the Oprah Winfrey show.

When I had a hands on experience with the game, I fell in love and played through all five beta songs they had, my two favorites "My Endless Love" and "Somebody to Love". It has some great features that I can see from the beta, when you get things perfect it lets you know by singing an "ohh" sequence (just like the in-between scene "ohh’s" on the show). There were different difficulty levels you could play and while singing there were clips from season one in the background, including the scenes of the characters performing the song you are performing at the same time. I was a little disappointed, and it may just be a part of the demo I played, but what I was singing wasn’t strait melody. I like to sing the harmony parts, but I would like the harmony and the melody to be separated.

When the game is released, either in the fall or winter of this year (the date has not been determined yet, there is still a lot of work to be done on this game) they are planning on having 35 songs from the first season. By the time the game is released you will also be able to sing harmony mode with two players and there will be show clips to unlock from season one.

Yeah, we're Gleeks

Admit it: You’re a Gleek, too.

After season one of Fox’s smash hit “Glee” conquered the small screen, I was nervous it could be a one-season wonder. If tonight’s episode was any indication of the season to come, then my fellow Gleeks and I will be happily singing along, loving to hate Coach Sylvester and captivated by endless love triangles all season long.

Sue Sylvester, captain of McKinley’s cheerleading squad, the Cheerios, and everyone’s favorite villain is back after a short suspension (Ended by a roofie and some compromising photos of her and the Principle) to make Glee Club director Will Schuster’s life a living hell. As promised in the Season One finale, he is "about to board the Sue Sylvester train, destination: horror!" Her mission: stop Schuester and the Glee Club from taking Regional’s.

The students’ assignment was to perform songs with "Hello" in the title fueled by Mr. Schuester saying hello to a new relationship with ridiculously endearing, wide-eyed Guidance Counselor Emma Pillsbury. But is Will ready for a commitment after his messy break-up last season?

At the beginning of the episode, it would seem that Glee Clubs female star Rachel, the adorable and tremendously talented outcast of McKinley High, had everything she ever wanted — a win at Sectionals, and most importantly she is girlfriend to the object of her teenage affection: the hot star athlete and costar of the Glee Club, Finn.

Sylvester sees this as the perfect opportunity to sabotage the group and has her two hottest, albeit stupidest, cheerleaders try to seduce Finn.

Finn takes the bait and finds his inner ‘rock star’ singing "Hello, I Love You" by the Doors. Rachel retaliates with her version of "Gives You Hell" by the All-American Rejects. Rachel is quickly over Finn when she finds herself at a piano singing "Hello" by Lionel Richie with Jesse Saint James, the super hunky male lead of a competing Vocal Group, Vocal Adrenaline. The members of Glee suspect foul play is afoot which forces Rachel to keep their "love" secret.

Schuesters romance with Emma takes an awkward turn for the worse when he finds out she still has her "V Card" and she starts realizing he’s still not over his ex wife. Schuester confronts the director of Vocal Adrenaline, played by ridiculously talented Broadway star Idina Menzel, about the possibility of Jesse Saint James spying on Glee Club via Rachel. The two of them end up passionately making out on his couch, which then leads to the break up of possibly the cutest TV couple of all time; Emma and Will.

The episode ends with the Glee cast in their full choreographed glory performing "Hello, Goodbye" by the Beatles. So what’s next? Will Rachel realize Jesse’s ulterior motives? Will Will and Emma work it out? Will Sylvester take down Glee? One things for sure, I know what I’ll be watching next Tuesday night. I unabashedly admit it — I am a full-blown Gleek!

NPH gives confidence to a teen on Twitter

Yesterday, I was browsing through some Twitter pages. I was watching How I Met Your Mother at the same time, so, naturally, I went on to Neil Patrick Harris’ page to see what he’s been talking about/been up to/see if he’s said anything about Glee.

This was the first tweet I saw. I’ve anonymized the Twitter handle of the person NPH was talking to for reasons that will soon become apparent. “@anonymous No trouble at all, actually. Those who aren’t understanding have more to learn.”

Now, I don’t know the Tweeter in question, and I’m sure you don’t either. But I’m a nosy person, and I wanted to know what they were talking about. That’s why I love Twitter; it let’s me be a creep without anyone knowing (unless I write a blog post about it ).

So, I read the next tweet, also addressed to the same person: “@anonymous Stand tall. Be proud of who you are. Don’t break promises. Want to learn. Represent well. But more than anything, be safe.”

This one was even more intriguing than the first. So, I clicked on it and scrolled down the Tweeter’s profile to see what NPH was helping him with.

Here’s what I found, across three tweets: “@actuallynph hey do you have any advice for someone coming out as gay? my family wouldnt understand and im a musician in australia, so theyve been pretty proud of me so far. I’m nearly 18, i know im young i dont know who to go to everyone i seem to know is either fake or full of shit and i admire you so much that i thought i’d ask you.”

Got to love NPH. Legen…wait for it…dary role model.

Tonight is the premiere of “American Idol” at 8 p.m. on FOX. It will be the last season featuring Simon Cowell, the stern-judging Brit who brought this level of reality/talent television to America.

A lot of FOX news today — “Glee” gets picked up for a second season. At the same time, the network is launching a nationwide search to find talented cast members for the second season. Visit fox.com/glee for updates.

“Bones” hits the 100 mark on April 8, and “Family Guy” would be somewhere around 300 if it wasn’t canceled. The cartoon hits its 150th episode on May 2. “America’s Most Wanted” hits 1,000 episodes with a special 22nd anniversary episode March 6.

FOX is also working up a buddy cop action/comedy that’s so far called “Code 58,” set to preview on May 12 and 19 and premiere on June 7. Code 58 was created by Matt Nix, who also has “Burn Notice” under his belt, so he knows what he’s doing.

“Breaking Bad” premieres with a third season on March 21 at 10 p.n. Before that, the cable network will air a six-episode marathon March 19.

Finally, yes, it’s official, Sarah Palin signed a multi-year deal with FOX News. She won’t get her own show but rather will support other shows on the network.

I hoped you DVR'd it, cause there's no more till April.

The big finale has arrived, making all of our gleeful dreams come true. Last night “Glee” wrapped it up with all you could want in a dramatic finish: Punches were thrown, people cheated, secrets were revealed, someone was left at the altar and forbidden kisses were exchanged.

So maybe that wasn’t everything you wanted in a finale, but I like to keep my expectations high.

Mr. Schu was dismissed from coaching the Glee Club last week, and the New Directions have been left feeling…directionless. Sectionals are fast-approaching, and to make matters worse, the hilariously evil Sue Sylvester has leaked their set list to the competition. Fortunately, guidance counselor (and doe-eyed Schuster admirer) Emma Pillsbury agrees to chaperone the Glee Club to sectionals. This doesn’t sit well with her fianc© Ken, who finally decides he’s tired of playing second fiddle to Mr. Schu.

But before the Gleeks can perform, there must be…a diva-off! Mercedes confronts Rachel about her spotlight-hogging ways and busts out an impressive rendition of “And I Am Telling You I Am Not Going.” This proves she can contend with the best “balladeer” in the group. Untrue to form, Rachel bows out of the spotlight.

Meanwhile, the Gleeks are all trying to hide the truth about Quinn’s baby from Rachel for fear that her “trout mouth” ways will prevail. Puck told Mercedes he was the father, and naturally, she leaked it to everyone…except Rachel and Finn. After a panicked party-line call among the Gleeks, they decide the only thing to do is to keep their mouths shut and act natural…so of course Rachel knows something’s up.

Being the smart cookie she is, Rachel figures things out and tells Finn. The result is a fist fight between Finn and Puck, and it’s all Mr. Schu can do to separate them. After Quinn’s tearful admittance of the truth, Finn walks out with an angsty, "I’m done with you. I’m done with all of you!" (cue the chair kick). And suddenly the Gleeks are facing sectionals without a set list, a director or a leading man.

The kids all load up on the bus (including Artie, in the special wheelchair lift), but when they get to sectionals, they’re in for a rude surprise. All three of the songs from their set (“Proud Mary,” “And I Am Telling You I Am Not Going,” and “Don’t Stop Believing”) are performed by rival glee clubs. And without Finn, they’re missing their improvisational leader. Emma confronts and rebukes the other glee coaches in a rare flash of audacity. (She is the “Glee” moral compass).

Emma frantically calls Will for help. He goes to find Finn and after he tells him about how tired he is of giving motivational speeches, he gives him the best motivational speech of all. Finn rushes to sectionals with sheet music in hand. He rallies the troops and they come up with a whole new set list, starting with Rachel singing a Streisand ballad (with Mercedes’s blessing), ending with “Somebody to Love,” and in between, they improvise Finn’s mystery song.

The New Directions perform, and they are, of course, wonderful. The mystery song turns out to be the Rolling Stones’ “You Can’t Always Get What You Want,” which is something Will said to Finn in the locker room.

Then we get a look at our judges: a former Miss Ohio contender, an egocentric news anchor and a cynical comptroller who’s only there because her boss tempted her with Nascar tickets. Their banter in choosing the competition’s winner is hilarious, shallow and completely out of place. However, the comedy was a welcome reprieve from an otherwise pretty dramatic episode. At the last minute, the Jane Adams Academy glee coach goes to tell them she cheated, but unfortunately for our heroes, the judges have already made their decision.

And speaking of leading men walking out the door: Will stops at home long enough to get on a tux for Emma and Ken’s wedding. And that’s when he truly leaves Terry, because he can no longer look at her and feel that sense of love and family he used to feel.

But it turns out the tux wasn’t necessary. Will shows up to the wedding only to find Emma sitting alone at a foldout table with a tacky blue tablecloth surrounded by equally tacky decorations and, oh, a melting ice sculpture. Ken dumped her, because he knew she had feelings for Will and was only settling for him. Tearful, she admits that she’s resigning from McKinley High. Grasping for straws, Will tells her he just left his wife. "Exactly. You just left your wife," she says. I guess the forbidden guidance counselor/Spanish teacher romance just wasn’t meant to be.

Or was it? The kids call Will into the choir room to present him with their first place trophy (an unnecessarily large, gaudy affair). They won (shocker!), despite having to improvise at the last minute and contend with cheaters. The kids sing Mr. Schu a Kelly Clarkson song to pick him up. But while listening to the kids singing about how they can’t do without him and how they all belong together, Will realizes these are the feelings he has for Emma. In a slow-motion sequence that will bring tears to your eyes (these aren’t just tears for Schu – the season coming to a heartbreakingly inevitable end) he races down the hall, reaching her just as she’s walking out the building with her things in a box. They say some things to each other, but who cares what, because then they kiss.

The curtain falls. And so we have the end of “Glee,” for now.

But don’t get too excited. As soon as last night’s episode was over, rumors of cancellation were flying across the Internet. This is Fox, after all—the network that’s infamous for canceling cult classics before they even have a chance. But I won’t try to convince you of my “Glee” loving. I’ll leave it all up to you.

Do you think “Glee” should be cancelled? The fate of our beloved musical misfits hangs by a thread. Pending Fox making a horribly stupid mistake, we’ll see what happens next in April.

The glee has hit the fan

The glee has hit the fan.

Here’s how the trouble started: Her Evilness Sue Sylvester convinces principal Figgins to cut the Glee Club’s picture from the school yearbook to save money. Far from being disappointed, the Glee Club sees this as a blessing in disguise, since it saves their picture from getting defaced by "the cool kids." But Rachel and Mr. Schu are outraged by the injustice. The compromise: Only the Glee Club co-captains will appear in a quarter-page picture. Rachel is unanimously voted captain, and much to his chagrin, Finn agrees to be co-captain.

But when Finn gets hazed in the locker room, he chickens out and leaves Rachel to take the picture by herself. Disappointed, Rachel plasters a smile on her face and goes through with it. But there’s a silver lining to this cloud: The photographer casts Rachel and the Glee Club in a commercial he’s filming for a local mattress store.

The Glee Club, excited for their first taste of stardom, blow the mattress seller out of the water with their performance of "Jump" while dancing and jumping around on mattresses. The result is a commercial even our favorite social outcasts can be proud of.

Finally, the baby drama gets out of control. While looking for his pocket square, Mr. Schu finds a belly pad in his wife’s drawer. In a sobering display of anger (and one of the most dramatic scenes of the season), Will confronts Terry about the belly, and the fake pregnancy is revealed. Hurt and angry, Will leaves Terry screaming in the doorway. She’s convinced that if he feels good about himself because of “Glee,” their marriage will fail. He’s hurt that she was cruel enough to lie to him about something as important as a baby, and that she thinks he has to feel bad about himself in order to love her.

Mr. Schu heads to the school for the night, where he finds a stack of mattresses in the choir room, a gift to the kids for their talents in the mattress commercial. Mr. Schu unwraps a mattress and spends the night sleeping in his office.

Meanwhile, Sue is watching the mattress commercial, and as she C’s it, the commercial is an opportunity for her to bring down the Glee Club. Turns out that the kids are disqualified from competition if they engage in any professional opportunity, or receive payment for performing. After a shouting match with Figgins and Sue over the matter, Mr. Schu suggests they simply return the mattresses so the kids won’t be disqualified. But the mattress he unwrapped to sleep on can’t be returned. Mr. Schu is disqualified from Sectionals. His sacrifice means the kids might still be able to compete.

Quinn decides to do something about the Glee Club’s situation. She marches into Sue’s office (in her old Cheerios uniform) with a list of demands: 1) Quinn wants to be back on the cheerleading squad for the yearbook picture, 2) She wants the Glee Club to be allowed to compete despite the mattresses, since she knows Sue’s cheerleaders accept illegal shwag all the time, and 3) She wants Sue to give up one of the Cheerios’ six pages of the yearbook to the Glee Club so that the whole group can have their picture taken. Faced with the famed resolve of Quinn Febray, Sue accepts all of her demands.

The ending of this episode was far from happy. While Mr. Schu explains to the kids that he can’t join them at Sectionals, the kids insist they can’t do it without him. The final shot is the Glee Club’s yearbook picture, being happily defaced by a group of football players.

Though it ended unhappily, I was quite happy with this episode. The acting was phenomenal (even better than usual), especially in the scene Terry’s fake pregnancy is revealed. The heartbreak and confused anger showed by Mr. Schu (Matthew Morrison) were a surprising change for the character. With that scene, Morrison proved himself to be a versatile and engaging actor.

And speaking of acting, Lea Michele (Rachel) shines as bright as ever as she switches from determined optimism and confidence to insecure loneliness in the space of a heartbeat. Her character is complicated and just as sympathetic as she is annoying. Michele pulls it off week after week with amazing grace.

With Sectionals looming, I’m glad most of the baby drama is out in the open. But with Mr. Schu sleeping in his office and Terry’s foam belly gone, there’s a lot more at stake. What will Quinn do with her baby now that the Schuesters won’t adopt her? Has Will’s fight with Terry left the field open for Emma and Will’s budding relationship? Oh yeah, and will Emma really go through with marrying Ken, even though he’s scheduled the wedding for the same day as Sectionals? How will the kids compete without their coach?

The McKinley High Glee Club is looking far less gleeful than their name suggests. Watch “Glee” next Wednesday on Fox.

Is this show going anywhere?

Wednesday night’s episode of Glee, "Hairography" was all about using over-the-top tactics to distract from mediocre singing and dancing talent. But the episode had me wondering if the show’s writers are also pretty distracted.

In "Hairography", we finally got a look at McKinley High School’s competition for Sectionals. When Mr. Schu suspects devious cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester of spying on the Glee Club on behalf of their rivals, he goes to visit the Jane Adams Academy (a school for adjudicated girls). The Jane Adams Glee Club director is offended that Mr. Schu would even suggest her girls are cheating. To apologize, he invites the Jane Adams Glee Club to practice in the McKinley auditorium. What follows can only be described as booty-licious hair-flaunting.

Worried about the competition’s impressive hairography, Mr. Schu gives the Glee Club outrageous wigs, despite Rachel’s insistence that the Jane Adams girls were only using the tactic to distract from their less-than-average vocals. Even Sue Sylvester tries to convince Mr. Schu that the Glee Club is too talented to need hairography. But as is his pattern, it takes Mr. Schu the whole episode to learn his lesson.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Schu buys Mr. Schu the Blue Bomber (his first car), so that working on it will distract him from the fact that she’s not actually pregnant. And speaking of babies, Quinn has a change of heart and decides to keep her baby, instead of giving it up to Mrs. Schu. In an attempt to change her mind, Mrs. Schu and her deeply stupid sister Kendra have Quinn babysit Kendra’s kids.

Quinn’s also having second thoughts about the father. To give Puck (her real baby daddy) a test drive, she invites him to babysit with her. To distract Finn, she asks Kurt (in the first conversation they’ve ever had) to give Rachel a makeover. Quinn and Puck’s unexpected success in getting Kendra’s kids to sleep with the power of song makes Quinn want to trade boyfriends. However, her adoration of Puck is short-lived when she realizes he’s too flirtatious to stick to just one girl.

Rachel’s attempted seduction of Finn is equally disappointing. When she puts on makeup and dresses up like Sandy from "Grease", Finn is initially pleased, but then describes her as a "sad clown" and leaves her ashamed in her bedroom. Realizing that Kurt set her up (Kurt knows Finn prefers girls who look "natural, without a lot of makeup and stuff"), Rachel confronts him, and he admits to having feelings for Finn as well. The two friends come to a sad, uneasy peace when they see Quinn and Finn hugging in the hallway.

Outraged that his kids were not invited to perform at McKinley High, the Glee coach from the School for the Deaf convinces Mr. Schu to make it up to them. Mr. Schu’s kids try to wow the visiting Glee Club with their new hairography, only to be completely upstaged by the deaf Glee Club’s moving rendition of John Lennon’s "Imagine." One by one, the McKinley High Glee kids get up and sing along to the other team’s simple, but eloquent sign language.

What’s wrong with "Hairography" is that it follows the same pattern of the rest of the season. Huge plot lines (like Quinn’s baby and Mrs. Schu’s fake pregnancy) are introduced early on, then dragged out until they’re no longer interesting, while interesting conflicts (Rachel and Puck’s relationship, Quinn deciding to keep the baby, Rachel’s crush on Mr. Schu) are resolved within one episode. And at the same time, other plotlines are brought up and quickly forgotten, or shoved aside for far too long (Ken and Emma getting married, Tina’s stutter being faked).

The Glee writers are focusing on the wrong things. Baby mama drama can only consume so much of a show that’s about teen angst, the quest for stardom, and hormones out of control. The crushes matter, hurt feelings and poor decisions matter. Glee needs to embrace the overload of conflicts, not sweep them neatly under the rug.

Show opens with laughs after emotions ran high last week

Last night’s episode of Glee taught Gleeks the power of the ballad. After the emotionally heavy "Wheels" of last week, "Ballad" opened with laughs when Mr. Schuester introduced the Glee Club to a new project.

The kids are paired off randomly and assigned to sing a ballad to one another. Due to Matt’s freak medical emergency, Rachel is paired with Mr. Schu, much to his chagrin. He agrees to sing "Endless Love" with Rachel to teach the group what a ballad is. The terrified look on Mr. Schu’s face, Rachel’s lovelorn expression, and the off-the-wall voiceovers from the kids make for a hilarious combination.

Along with the ballads, two new crushes are revealed (A crush? On Glee? Never!). First we see Rachel’s school-girl crush on Mr. Schu, which he desperately tries to nip in the bud by singing her a mash-up of "Young Girl" by Gary Puckett and the Union Gap and "Don’t Stand So Close to Me" by the Police. The message sails right over Rachel’s head.

Then there’s Kurt’s unrequited love of Finn. It all started when Finn yelled at Puck for pushing Kurt into a locker ("Dude, impulse control!"), and grew while they spent time together in Glee Club and football practice. As Kurt says, "I’m madly in love with Finn." Lucky for him, Kurt and the often clueless football captain are partnered for their ballad.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Glee Club are worrying about Quinn and Finn and their unwanted bun in the oven. When Mercedes tells Puck that the Glee Club is planning to sing a ballad to show their support for the couple, Puck snaps, "Finn’s not the father! I am." Quickly recovering, Mercedes puts him in his place, telling him that he might be the baby daddy, but it takes a lot more to be a father. She reminds him that Quinn chose Finn, and Puck owes it to her to back off.

Mr. Schu remembers another schoolgirl crush, that of Suzie Pepper, who was so distraught over his rejection she ate the hottest hot pepper in the world and was in a medically induced coma for three days. Fearing the worst from Rachel, Mr. Schu tries to get through to her. But it doesn’t help when Mrs. Schuster invites Rachel over to cook dinner and clean their house. Rachel doesn’t get the message until she’s confronted by Suzie Pepper herself, fresh from two years of therapy and an esophagus transplant.

Ashamed, Rachel apologizes to Mr. Schu with tears in her eyes. He assures her that some day some boy will love her for all that she is, even the parts she doesn’t like. After their heart-to-heart, all is well between diva and teacher.

Back to crush No. 2, where Kurt is helping Finn stop worrying about the baby by getting him to sing "I’ll Stand By You" by the Pretenders. But the cat’s out of the bag when Finn’s mom catches him singing the ballad to a sonogram.

Quinn’s parents (we shall dub them Shallow and Clueless) invite Finn over for dinner. When Finn asks Kurt to help him pick out an outfit for the occasion, they go through a trunk containing his father’s Marine Corps uniform. In a very touching scene, the two boys bond over their departed parents, Finn’s dad and Kurt’s mom.

In the most painfully awkward scene ever, Quinn, Finn, and Quinn’s parents sit down to dinner. Finn chooses this moment (after a pep talk on the phone with Kurt) to sing "You’re Having My Baby" by Paul Anka to Quinn. The disastrous result is that her parents literally denounce the couple and kick Quinn out of their house. Things are looking worse than ever when Finn’s mom tells Quinn she can stay at their house for as long as she needs.

In the final scene, Kurt tells Finn his ballad is "I honestly love you," before the two are interrupted by Mercedes. Finn is ushered to the choir room, where the entire Glee Club is waiting for him. The group sings "Lean on Me" to Finn and Quinn to show the couple that they’re not alone in dealing with the pregnancy. Credits roll on a group of smiling, dancing, teenagers who will live to sing another day.

Notably absent in "Ballad" was conniving cheer-leading coach Sue Sylvester. In last week’s episode, "Wheels," we learned that Sue actually has a soul, which only comes out in the presence of her mentally handicapped sister.

With Sectionals only a few weeks away, there’s a lot of sordid drama to get through on Glee. Will Finn find out Puck is Quinn’s baby daddy? Will Mr. Schu find out Mrs. Schu is pregnant with a foam pad? Will Tina make things right with Artie? Will Finn finally choose between Rachel and Quinn? You know what they say: It’s not over till the high school outcasts sing.

Finally, “Dollhouse” is not being included in the November sweeps for FOX due to poor ratings for the now struggling show — the latest Joss Whedon show with a rabid fan base that never seems to watch the damn show when it’s on TV.

In a world where endless cop shows, doctor shows, and lawyer shows do battle for primetime network TV slots, some shows dare to be different. These shows are quirky, creative, clever, and under-watched. Here I give you a by no means comprehensive list of the best shows you’re not watching.

1. Sons of Anarchy

Hamlet on motorcycles meets “You had me at hello.” A tough-as-nails motorcycle gang keeps the peace and organizes the crime in the town of Charming. Each week the Sons of Anarchy defend their turf against rival gangs, butt heads with city hall, and take the law into their own hands”¦ and it’s all based on the Shakespearean classic. Catch it on FX, Tuesdays at 10 p.m.

2. Glee

“Glee” is by far one of the most delightfully hilarious shows on television. It’s a musical satire about the high school caste system. An optimistic teacher revives the school’s glee club, but has a little trouble on the way with the “Cheerios” captain, his “pregnant” wife and talented kids who don’t have enough confidence. With hilariously stereotypical characters and over-the-top musical numbers in every episode, it’s basically an accurate and serious representation of high school. Wednesdays at 9 on Fox.

3. Fringe

Don’t believe the commercials. If you do, you think that “Fringe” is simply “CSI: Boston.” But spend one episode following FBI agent Olivia Dunham and you’ll find that that couldn’t be further from the truth. Somebody is experimenting on the world, using bizarre science”"astral projection, genetic engineering, pyrokinesis, the works. A team of FBI agents headed up by Dunham called the “Fringe” division (including a real life mad scientist and his son) is trying to figure out why. Each week the unexplainable, unbelievable and disturbing lead our group of intrepid, world-saving believers further down the rabbit hole. It comes on Thursdays at 9 on Fox.

4. Parks and Recreation

Don’t listen to the nay-sayers who claim that Amy Poehler’s “Parks and Rec” is just her playing Michael Scott. Poehler, famous for “Baby Mama” and her various roles on “SNL,” takes her comedy to the next level in this show. Using the same documentary style as “The Office,” viewers get to take a look inside the world of the Parks and Recreation Department of Pawnee, Illinois. Poehler plays well-meaning but hopelessly clueless mid-level politician Leslie Knope. She is joined on the cast by fellow comedians Aziz Ansari (“Funny People”), Rashida Jones (“The Office”) and Aubrey Plaza (“Funny People). It comes on Thursdays at 8:30 on NBC

5. Flash Forward

Everyone in the world blacks out for 2 minutes and 18 seconds while they have a vision of their individual futures. Why? No one knows. And that’s not even the weirdest part. Thursdays at 8 on ABC.

Is nobody watching your favorite show? Tell us! In these days of repetitive programming, no good show should go unwatched.
