Boston Bombing Victim Engaged to Nurse from Site

You can’t plan the right time or the right place.  Sometimes, love just happens.

This held true for James “Bim” Costello, who was a victim of the Boston Marathon bombings.  He severely burned his right arm and leg during the incident on Apri 15.

Afterwards, he spent two weeks in a general hospital before moving to Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.  It was at Spaulding that he met Krista D’Agostino, as she was one of his nurses.

After their initial meeting, one thing led to another, and eight months later, they were engaged.  Costello proposed to D’Agostino on a trip to Europe specifically for Boston Bombing survivors.

Following their engagement, Costello wrote on Facebook, “I now realized why I was involved in the tragedy, it was to meet my best friend, and the love of my life.”
