After five years of marriage, Tome Cruise and Katie Holmes are divorcing, People Magazine reports.
“This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family,” stated Holmes’s attorney Jonathan Wolfe. “Katie’s primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter’s best interest.”
The couple wed in 2006 in Italy. They have one daughter, 6-year old Suri. Cruise has two children from previous marriages to Mimi Rogers and Nicole Kidman.
“Kate has filed for divorce and Tom is deeply saddened and is concentrating on his three children,” Cruise’s rep told the Associated Press. “Please allow them their privacy.”
