After days of silence following an abrupt exit off stage in the middle of a show and the subsequent cancellation of their U.S. tour, Kings of Leon lead singer Caleb Followill told TMZ.com “I’m just trying to get better.”

Followill has been the topic of great speculation since he walked off stage in Dallas last Friday saying, “I have no voice. . . I have no idea what’s going on. . . I’m gonna go backstage and I’m gonna vomit.”

While a spokesperson for the band said that the singer is suffering from voice problems and exhaustion, there have been indications that more is going on. Band member and Followill’s brother, Jared, tweeted, “I love our fans so much. I know you guys aren’t stupid. I can’t lie. There are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade.”

When cameras followed Followill as he walked with his wife, Victoria’s Secret model Lily Aldrige, he spoke about the possibility of the tour being rescheduled saying, “I don’t know. We’ll see how it goes.”

When reporters asked how he plans to get better, Followill answered, “Try not to do interviews.”
