Boston’s popular jazz club The Beehive is transforming into a Quebec-style “sugar shack” (or “cabane à sucre” if you want to be authentic) for one sweet night.

The event, taking place on March 7, will feature a three course family-style feast served at communal tables, live music from award-winning artists, and an advanced release of Harpoon Brewery’s limited batch Catamount Maple Wheat Ale. Guests will enjoy authentic “sugar shack” cuisine with a twist from chef Alexandre Loiseau of Montreal’s Bistro Cocagne and The Beehive’s resident celebrity chef, Rebecca Newell.

Cream of Turnip Soup with Maple Syrup Crouton

Pork Creton (Rustic Pate)

   Plate of Dried Ham, Raspberry Vinegar Reduction and Maple Syrup

   Lettuce Salad, Oreille de Christ (Pork Cracklings), Maple Dijon Vinaigrette

Entrée Course

Each diner chooses one of following: 

 Roast Pork, Apple Cider, Maple Sugar and Baked Beans

Seared Salmon, Maple Roasted Root Vegetables, Crystallized Lemon and Sour Cream

 Braised Lamb Shank, Tomatoes, Maple vinegar, French Beans Amandine

Baked Stuffed Lobster, Garlic, Parsley, Lardon, Maple Vinegar and Lobster Butter, Mashed Parsnip Puree, Creamy Spinach (this entree is an added $10)

Quebec Meat Pie (Pork, Turkey, Venison) with Baked Beans
