Corner’s officials in Los Angeles have determined that Grammy Award-winning singer Whitney Houston died from accidental drowning. Heart disease and chronic cocaine use were also factors in her death.

Houston, 48, was found dead in the bathtub of her room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on February 11. Her death has been ruled accidental.

Although there were many prescription medicine bottles in her room, they were in normal quantities. Police also found no evidence of foul play.

Cocaine was found in her system in addition to marijuana, Xanax, Flexeril and Benadryl. She also had heart disease that caused her arteries to be blocked.

Houston’s funeral service was held on February 18 and she was buried in a New Jersey cemetery next to her father.

The complete autopsy report is expected in two weeks.

Actor George Clooney was arrested today at a protest outside of the Sudanese Embassy in Washington, DC.

Clooney and his father, Nick Clooney, joined other protesters accusing Sudanese President Omar of al-Bashir of provoking a humanitarian crisis and blocking food and aid.

Rep. Jim McGovern (D-Mass), Rep. John Olver (D-Mass), Rep. Jim Moran (D-Va), NAACP President Ben Jealous and Martin Luther King III were also arrested after crossing a police line.

Earlier this week, Clooney met with President Obama and testified in the Senate about the crisis in Sudan.

‘‘It’s such a silly thought to think you’re actually succeeding in any of this,’’ Clooney told “The Boston Globe.” ‘‘But if it’s loud enough and you keep making it loud enough at the very least people will know about it, and you can’t say we didn’t know. That’s the first step.’’

Jessie from Saved by the Bell got knocked up (and no, it wasn’t by Slater).  Elizabeth Berkley announced to People Magazine this week that she is expecting. This will be Berkley and her husband Greg Lauren’s first child.

“In life there are moments you cherish forever and this is one of them,” Berkley said to People. “Greg and I are so excited to be expecting our first child this summer. We couldn’t be more grateful and overjoyed.”

Lady Gaga revealed her Born This Way Foundation (BTWF) today at Harvard University. Her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, accompanied her as she announced the non-profit charitable foundation to students, youth, policy makers and a panel of noteworthy guests.

Oprah Winfrey interviewed Gaga in the Sanders Theatre and Gaga took the stand as if she were participating in a mock trial. She testified about her plans for the foundation in front of Deepak Chopra, Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, Alyssa Rodemeyer, Professor Charles Ogletree, Dr. Susan M. Swearer and David Burtka.

BTWF aims to create a welcoming environment for youth and address issues such as  low self-confidence and bullying. It hopes to give youth the resources needed to be comfortable with their individuality. The foundation will also provide mentoring and career development and give youth the tools needed to implement change.

Lady Gaga has contributed $1.2 million to the organization. Barneys New York and The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation have also made sizable contributions to BTWF. MacArthur, Harvard’s Berkman Center for Internet & Society and The California Endowment will each assist with BTWF’s research efforts.

The Born Brave Bus will give youth additional opportunities  to get involved with BTWF.  The bus will drive across the country and act as a place for youth to feel connected and learn about civic engagement opportunities. The Born Brave Bus, along with onsite mentors, will also travel with Lady Gaga’s next US concert tour.

Boston Red Sox outfielder Darnell McDonald has signed on as a professional athlete representative of the high performance apparel company Respect Your Universe (RYU). McDonald has joined the ranks of other RYU representatives like 2011 Mr. Olympia Phil Heath and UFC welterweight Jon Fitch.

When first approached by RYU, McDonald did his research on the products they offer. “If I were going to start a company it would be like [RYU]. It’s a match made in heaven,” says MacDonald. He found the fact that their apparel is made from recycled materials intriguing, but it was the company’s powerful philosophy that really resonated with him and was a motivation to join the campaign.

RYU is an official sponsor of the UFC and promotes the core principles of respect, strength, honor and sustainability. RYU claims that McDonald is the perfect representative for their “Warrior Ethic” when it comes to athletics. Even before signing, McDonald carried himself with a warrior-like attitude.

McDonald is unique because he has incorporated Mixed Martial Arts into his training sessions, which helps him with flexibility, focus, and, most importantly, discipline. “You have to be focused one pitch at a time and utilize visualization,” says McDonald about his training.

He is a big fan of the MMA and is specifically focusing on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in order to elevate his game. “I appreciate what they do. I understand what it takes to compete at a level like that. It’s something I try to draw from to help me in my sport,” says McDonald.

McDonald’s love for baseball began at a very young age when he was growing up in Colorado. “Baseball is something my father got my brother and I involved in as soon as we could pick up a bat,” says McDonald.

From there McDonald worked his way up to the major leagues, with the Baltimore Orioles drafting him in 1997. He has built up his professional career playing for teams like the Minnesota Twins and the Cincinnati Reds to finally land a spot as a utility outfielder for the Red Sox in 2010.

McDonald is ecstatic to finally be a part of the Red Sox organization. “It’s a dream come true. It’s something you dream about when you’re a little kid playing in the backyard,” he says. McDonald loves the history and the fans that flock to Fenway to support Red Sox Nation.

As a representative of the RYU training apparel, McDonald will not only be wearing the products during training, but also living up to the standards the name represents. He will have press conferences and make appearances at fashion promotions. McDonald said that his favorite article of clothing to wear in training is RYU’s lightweight and comfortable hooded sweatshirts.

It is not just McDonald that is working hard for the 2012 spring training and upcoming season, the whole Red Sox organization is focused. The team is working hard on speed and agility while mixing in weight training and leaving the downfalls of last season behind them.

“We have obviously made changes in the off season. Personally you look back and think about what you could have done differently. You have to learn from your mistakes,” says McDonald. With the implementation of new gear and intense training, Darnell McDonald is doing his part to help the Red Sox strike back.

What would the Super Bowl halftime show be without a little controversy? During Madonna’s performance, guest M.I.A. made waves when she flipped off the camera at the end of her bit.

While not as shocking as Janet Jackson’s nipple being exposed on live television, the gesture garnered multiple apologies from NBC and the NFL.

“Our system was late to obscure the inappropriate gesture and we apologize to our viewers,” said NBC spokesman Christopher McCloskey, according to hollywood.com.  NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said that M.I.A. did not indicate any such gesture in her performance during the rehearsals.

Hmm, I would have thought that M.I.A. would ask permission to flip off half the nation on a “family friendly” television network.  Go figure.

In the midst of her split from husband Ashton Kutcher, actress Demi Moore was rushed to the hospital on Monday for a substance abuse related issue, according to TMZ.

Law enforcement officials told the website that paramedics took Demi to the hospital after a 911 call placed at 10:45 p.m.

The actress will now attend rehab for what her rep says is “exhaustion and to improve her overall health.  TMZ, however, reports that the rehab is for substance abuse issues.

Timberlake’s grandmother told The Wendy Williams Show that the engagement involved a trip to Montana and a “custom-designed ring,” over the holidays.

Beyonce and Jay Z’s wonderchild was delivered on Saturday via C-section. The famous pair welcomed newborn Blue Ivy Carter to the world at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, according to E! News.

The songstress’ sister Solange Knowles told the world on Twitter that Blue Ivy is “The most beautiful girl in the world.”  Solange was one of many celebs to congratulate the pair and welcome the new addition to he family.  Rihanna, Gwyneth Paltrow, Russell Simmons, Diddy and Young Jeezy also tweeted their congrats.

Ex-Nfl star Deion Sanders is having some very public family drama due to his daughters’ love of Twitter, according to TMZ.

In 140 characters or less, daughter Deiondra is tearing apart her stepmother, Pilar Sanders. Deiondra, 19, called Pilar a “gold diggin hoe,” and claimed that Pilar was a terrible wife to her father.

The daughter alleged that Pilar lied when she said she found out about her divorce from the football star via TMZ.

“#HowYouDidntKnow but yo boxes have been packed for weeks now,” Diondra tweeted.

She continued to tear into Pilar, writing “All u had to do was be a supportive wife. Only thing u ever cared about doing with my dad is reality shows.”

“Pilar stop tryna play the victim. Maybe if u would of actually loved my dad and not loved the life he gave you we would be here today.”

Pilar’s lawyer, Larry Friedman, told TMZ that “Marriage is a relationship between two adults and it doesn’t involve engaging this kind of faceless accusations made by a child.”

“If Deion has something to say, he’ll battle it out at the courthouse,” Friedman continued. “Meanwhile Pilar is still trying to protect her children and save her marriage.”

Late rapper Heavy D died from a pulmonary embolism caused by deep leg vein thrombosis according to TMZ.  The rapper’s flight back to L.A. after a Michael Jackson memorial concert in Europe may have been a factor in his death as well.

TMZ reports that a pulmonary embolism is a blockage of one or more arteries in the lungs.  The condition is usually caused by a blood clot that traveled from a different part of the body.

Heavy D’s blood clot was formed in his legs, which is a symptom of long plane flights, such as his from Wales to L.A. on the day before he died.

The L.A. County Coroner’s Office says that the artist also had heart disease, which may have contributed to his death.  The death was ruled as natural.

Heavy D. died on November 9, 2011 at 44 years old.

Irish songstress Sinead O’Connor outdid Kim Kardashian with her most recent move: she is getting a divorce from her husband after just 16 days of marriage!

O’Connor announced today that she will end her marriage to Barry Herridge because of the disapproval of his family and friends, according to the BBC.

The singer said they “made a mistake rushing into getting married,” but are parting “amicably.”  She asked that the media respect her soon-to-be ex’s privacy.

On her blog, O’Connor blamed “certain people in [her] husband’s life.”  She also cited their wedding night, on which she dragged him around in search of marijuana, as a source of their relationship issues.

Crazy Comedienne Joan Rivers is psyched about her daughter Melissa’s new relationship…with a porn king.

TMZ reports that Melissa Rivers and Steve Hirsch are happily dating with Joan’s approval.

“He makes a great living … and he’s Jewish,” the elder Rivers told TMZ.Hirsch is the CEO of Vivid Entertainment, the company responsible for releasing the sex tapes of Kim Kardashian, Pamela Anderson and Kendra Wilkinson.

Rivers added that another perk of her daughter’s new XXX boyfriend is the lube discount.

“I’m 78 years old and now I get a discount on lubricant,” she exclaimed.

Kim Kardashian’s estranged husband, Kris Humphries, is now claiming he was her “pawn” in a grand publicity scheme, according to TMZ.  With these new accusations, Humphries is serving Kardashian with annulment papers based on fraud, as opposed to her file for divorce.

“He was just slotted in the plot line of Kim Kardashian’s latest headline and newest business venture,” said a source close to Humphries, according to TMZ.

He is also saying that he is outraged by claims that he knew about the scam.  He claims he would never involve his childhood priest and church in a scam such as this.

Kim fired back by telling her friends that she is “incredulous” over Humphries’ publicity stunt claims, saying that if this were true, she would have done it on a grander scale.

The reality star said she would have made it “way better.”

“I’m no dummy.  The divorce would have been just as dramatic and dragged out as the wedding,” Kardashian said according to TMZ’s reports.

Kardashian cites her and her mother’s marketing genius as the main reason the wedding wasn’t a publicity stunt.  The star said her image has suffered from the affair, and she would never put herself in jeopardy like this.

Sometimes fate has it’s hand in life, and it certainly has it’s hand in Jennifer Hudson’s life.  Three years ago, the songstress had a stroke of luck when she visited her fiancé, David Otunga.

Hudson recently said she was supposed to be in Chicago with her mother, brother and nephew on the day they were murdered in 2008, according to New York Daily News.  Instead, the singer boarded a plane to Florida to watch her future husband fight in a World Wrestling Entertainment match.

“He wanted me to come out to Florida with him instead of going to Chicago. I flew out to see him; that’s why I’m still here,” Hudson, 30, says in the December/January issue of Ebony, according to the Daily News. “That’s one of the things that saved my life. Because I could have been home with my mum then.”

Hudson has previously kept quiet about the tragic event, and was reportedly surprised she revealed this new detail.

“I’ve never said that before, and I can’t believe I just said that now,” she continued, according to the Daily News. “But I didn’t know. He was just like, ‘I’m going to this wrestling thing, and it’s in Tampa. I’m going out there now, so you can come out there and see me versus going home.’ “

Actress Anne Hathaway is engaged to long-time boyfriend Adam Shulman, her spokesman announced on Monday.

Reuters reports that the spokesman provided no further details beyond the confirmation.

Hathaway,29, has been dating Shulman since 2008.  She was linked with the actor and jewelry designer after her public break-up from Raffaello Follieri when he was arrested and pleaded guilty on fraud charges.

Despite his recent Daddy drama, Justin Bieber is a respectful boyfriend.  During a recent interview on Power 105.1, the pop star explained the dinner he planned for girlfriend Selena Gomez in the middle of the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

“It was my idea,” Bieber said, according to the New York Post. “She was talking about wanting to see ‘Titanic’ again because she hadn’t seen it since she was a little girl.  We were fighting a little bit, so I just really wanted to take her somewhere special.  We had dinner in the middle of the Staples Center.”

Although the DJs poke fun at him, Bieber said. “You got to treat a woman right.  Girls like when you just do spontaneous things.”

The young star also defended his reasoning for not jumping on sexy stars like Kim Kardashian.

“Why would I let something so amazing slip away?” he said to the DJs.

What he lacks in years, Bieber has in swag.

Kirsten Dunst, who appeared on The Ellen Show to publicize her new movie, “Melancholia“, revealed for the first time her struggles with depression.

Dunst, who has spent much of her 29 years of life acting, said on the show that her depression had much to do with being a figure in the media. She said “It’s also interesting as an actress you’re supposed to be sensitive and vulnerable and have this side to you. But then you’re supposed to be super sociable and ‘on’ and like nice to everybody. That’s a weird dichotomy. It’s a lot to ask of a person. It’s not a normal thing.” Because of the affect that constantly being in the public eye has on her, Dunst said she avoids events as much as possible. “I avoid the red carpet as much as possible. You have to do it to promote your movies obviously, but you won’t see me at an event just for the sake of it.”

The actress retreated to the Cirque Lodge Treatment Center in Utah in 2008 to refresh her ideals. She said “I definitely took a little bit of a break. And also, when you’re in your 20s you need figure things out and take a step back. I had been acting so long, all my life. I think I just needed a little bit of some perspective. It was good for me and it re-inspired what I do, too.”

Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson’s former personal physician, was convicted by a Los Angeles County jury on Monday of involuntary manslaughter.

After a very public and high-profile trial, the jury found that Murray acted with criminal negligence that was so severe that it played a large role in Jackson’s death in 2009.   The defense asserted that Jackson administered the deadly dose of Propofol to himself, therefore Murray was not a factor, but the jury rejected this theory.

Jackson’s former doctor was immediately handcuffed upon the decision and will remain in custody until his November 29 sentencing.

“This is a crime where the end result was the death of a human being. That factor demands rather dramatically that the public should be protected,” Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor said, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Murray is facing a maximum of four years in prison, and will most likely lose his medical license.

Throughout the trial, witnesses accounted that Murray had made many medical mistakes, including giving Propofol in an unmonitored setting, messing up basic resuscitation and not keeping records.  According to the Times, experts said these mistakes led directly to the singer’s death.

After Jackson stopped breathing and died, Murray continued to talk on the phone, text message and receive emails.  He did not call for help for a while and lied to the first responders.  These factors, and his admission that he gave the pop-star Propofol were the nail in the coffin for Murray’s case.

The publicity around the trial also posed a challenge to the defense.  All of the nearly 150 people considered as jurors had heard of the case before the trial.

Justin Bieber is embroiled in the midst of a baby-daddy scandal.  That’s right, the 17-year-old pop sensation is rumored to be the father of 20-year-old Mariah Yeater’s baby, born three months ago, according to Boston.com.

The woman alleges in a letter to Star Magazine that she had sex with the singer backstage at an L.A. show with no protection.  Yeater may have filed a paternity suit against Bieber, according to E! Online.

TMZ reports that the “Baby” singer claims he has never met the woman who says she mothered his child, and certainly has not had sex with her.

Bieber tweeted “Im going to ignore the rumors…and focus on what is real. an opportunity to help by doing what i love. Judge me on the music! Love yall!”

Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from her husband of just two months on Monday morning.  Kardashian and Kris Humphries were married for 72 days, and have already developed “irreconcilable differences,” according to TMZ.

Kardashian hit Humphries with papers for dissolution of marriage, but he reportedly wasn’t expecting it.  Although the two had talked about divorce, Humphries tried to save the relationship because of his religion, TMZ reports.

The main reason cited by TMZ for the divorce was Kris’s alleged “fame chasing.“  Although he claimed to want a “simple life” with Kim in Minnesota, Kardashian’s friends say he’s lying.  The sources claim that when their marriage began to deteriorate, Humphries launched into “Hollywood mode” and began talking about branding his name through cologne, nightclub appearances and the likes.  He even hired a Hollywood publicist over the weekend.

The pair was married on August 20 in a “Fairy Tale” wedding (widely televised, obviously), which cost about $10 million.  Rumors are now swirling that the whole relationship was a hoax, and done solely for publicity.

Nicki Minaj’s fame is reaching a new level as she is this year’s most searched celebrity Halloween costume idea, according to Google.

Minaj beat out Charlie Sheen, Captain America, Smurfette and Wilfred to take the coveted spot.  The rapper ranked fourth overall in the list of most searched costumes, behind “Angry Birds,” “Black Swan,” and “Playboy Bunny.”

A British coroner found that Amy Winehouse died because there was too much alcohol in her blood. The 27-year-old, Grammy Award–winning singer had a blood alcohol concentration that was five times the British drunk driving limit.

After weeks of being sober, Winehouse died from accidental alcohol poisoning. Coroner Suzanne Greenaway said that it was ”death by misadventure.”

When Winehouse died on July 23, the cause of death was inconclusive.

Her blood alcohol level was 0.4; the British drunk driving limit is 0.08. Her doctor, Dr. Christina Romete, said that she had been sober most of July and had only resumed drinking a few days before her death.

Romete added that Winehouse had turned to alcohol after she stopped taking illicit drugs in 2008. When Romete saw her the night before her death, she recalls Winehouse being in a  calm mood and talking about her upcoming birthday.

The police detective who arrived shortly after Winehouse’s body was found, Inspector Les Newman, said there were three empty vodka bottles in her bedroom.

Andrew Morris, Winehouse’s live-in security guard who found her body, told the coroner’s court, “She did it moderately… she wasn’t drinking to get drunk.”

 Winehouse’s parents attended the hearing at St. Pancras Coroner’s Court on Wednesday, October 26. The  family spokesman Chris Goodman said in a statement that  it was a relief  for the family “to finally find out what happened to Amy.”

The troubled starlett was spotted heading to the photo shoot on Tuesday, and her mother reported to X17online.com that the shoot “went well.”

98 Degrees singer Justin Jeffre was arrested on Sunday while protesting at the Cincinnati chapter of the Occupy Wall Street movement.

The pop star pleaded not guilty to trespassing charges after he and 11 others were taken into custody at Fountain Square at 3 a.m., which is after the park’s closing time.  The group was also charged with unlawful use of a public space.

In recent years, Jeffre has become an activist in Cincinnati and is noted for is work in the media reform movement.

Janet Jackson is rescheduling three of her Australian “Number Ones” tour dates so she can be with her family during the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray.

Murray is facing trial for negligence regarding Michael Jackson’s death. This week, the prosecution will be wrapping up their case and the defense will begin presenting.

Jackson said that the original trial dates did not interfere with her tour.

She is making up her shows—originally scheduled in Melbourne for Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday—in one night, on next Thursday, November 3.

A Los Angeles judge revoked Lindsay Lohan’s probation on Wednesday after the star was dismissive about her community service at a women’s shelter, and set bail at $100,000.

Judge Stephanie Sautner was angry that Lohan had “blown off” her orders to volunteer at a women’s detention center and got reassigned to a Red Cross program, without court approval.  The hours she served with the program will not count toward her community service assignment.

“Nobody has the power to change my sentence,” Judge Sautner said. “I am revoking her probation.”

The Judge told Lohan her light probation sentence for her previous theft charge was a “gift,” and promptly took back the present back at a progress hearing.

The actress’s attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, argued that Lohan had complied with other parts of the Judge’s sentence, including psychological counseling and attending a program for shoplifters.  His arguments were to no avail.

Lohan will have a hearing before her sentencing occurs.

At a gala in his honor last night, Robert Downey Jr. took a chance to tell the industry to forgive and forget Mel Gibson’s hateful and anti-Semitic rants.

At the American Cinematheque tribute, Downey urged the audience to “let (Gibson) work again.

“Unless you are without sin—and if you are, you are in the wrong f—king industry—you should forgive him and let him work again,” Downey said after Gibson presented him with an award at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, according to E Online.

Gibson holds a special place in Downey’s heart because he hired Downey even after being warned about the actor’s troubled private life.  Downey told the audience that Gibson once told him to “help the next guy.”

“It’s reasonable to assume…he didn’t imagine the next guy would be him,” said Downey.

Among the audience, were celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston, Jodie Foster, and Jack Black.

Former Weezer bassist, Mikey Welsh, was found dead on Saturday in his hotel room at the Raffaello in Chicago, according to a Chicago police spokeswoman.  He was 40.

The cause of death is as of yet unknown.

Hotel personnel found the musician after he failed to check out from the hotel at his scheduled time, according to CNN.

Welsh was a painter before joining Weezer at age 19.  He was with the band when they released “Green Album” in 2001, which featured the song “Hash Pipe,” one of their biggest hits.

The bassist left the band shortly after this album, citing a nervous breakdown as his downfall.

According to his Twitter, Welsh was “in weezer [sic], now I make art.”

Two weeks ago, Welsh sent an eerie tweet from his account saying that he had a dream he died in his sleep in Chicago.  The tweet said, ” dreamt i died in chicago next weekend (heart attack in my sleep). need to write my will today.”  He later said, “correction- the weekend after next.”

Police are currently conducting an autopsy investigation.

After nude pictures leaked of Scarlett Johansson, the actress and her attorney are requesting that the hosting sites immediately remove the pictures.

Johansson’s attorney, Marty Singer, sent a furious letter to the websites to remove the “stolen copyright protected private photos,” according to the Toronto Sun.

Singer threatened to take legal action in the letter if the editors fail to comply.

“If you fail to comply, you will be acting at your own peril. Please govern yourselves accordingly,” Singer said in the letter obtained by TMZ.

The images show Johansson in her house “in a state of undress and/or topless.”

This leak is believed to be the work of a ring of hackers who have released other celebrities’ nude photos.  The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating., however TMZ reports that the FBI already knows the identity of the ringleader.

The 911 calls made by former baseball star Manny Ramirez’s wife, Juliana, after the player allegedly hit her in a domestic violence dispute was obtained by TMZ.

The call recorded Juliana saying, “Hi my husband just hit me.”

The case is still under investigation.

Former Boston Red Sox player, Manny Ramirez, was arrested today on charges of a domestic incident, according to TMZ.

TMZ reports that according to witnesses, police removed Ramirez from his Weston, Florida home at about 7 p.m. in handcuffs.

The player’s wife, Juliana, was in the home and the two were believed to be in a fight.  She left shortly after Ramirez was taken away.

He is currently in custody.

A car struck Reese Witherspoon while she was jogging in Santa Monica Calif. on Wednesday.

The actress was not seriously injured, but visited the hospital anyway.  She was treated and released following the accident, according to Reuters.

“The actress was not seriously injured and is resting comfortably at home,” Witherspoon’s spokeswoman said, thecelebritycafe.com reports.

The driver was an 84-year-old woman, Fox News reports. She was going 20 mph when she hit Witherspoon, and was issued a citation for failing to yield to a pedestrian at a crosswalk.

In the second-most followed wedding of the year (the royal wedding) Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries tied the knot.

“I’m going to remember how perfect it was,” Humphries told People.

Wearing a custom-designed Vera Wang ball gown, Kardashian, 30, said she “felt like a princess. … Glam aside, that wasn’t our main goal. It was really about our family and each other.”

The cause of Amy Winehouse’s death remains a mystery despite the return of a toxicology report revealing alcohol in her system at the time of her death.

Winehouse had no illegal drugs in her system when she died, but alcohol was present, her family revealed.  It has not been determined whether the alcohol contributed to the cause of death, however.  Her initial autopsy was also inconclusive.

“Toxicology results returned to the Winehouse family by authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy’s system at the time of her death,” read a statement released today by family spokesman Chris Goodman, according to eonline.com.

“Results indicate that alcohol was present, but it cannot be determined as yet if it played a role in her death,” the statement said. “The family would like to thank the police and coroner for their continuing thorough investigations and for keeping them informed throughout the process. They await the outcome of the inquest in October.”

Estella Warren (“Planet of the Apes”) pleaded no contest to a drunken driving charge and was sentenced to six months in a residential rehab facility. She also received five years of informal probation.

In May of this year she was arrested for crashing her Prius into three parked cars and hitting a police officer. Warren, 32, previously received a DUI in 2007.

 On October 7, a hearing will determine whether the actress/model needs to pay restitution.

Kim Kardashian and basketball star Kris Humphries are set to wed tonight in a private, very exclusive ceremony.

500 guests are expected at the private canyon estate in Montecito, but the guest list had to be cut down because of fire safety concerns, reports the Baltimore Sun.

“50 (guests were bumped) because the fire marshal had to cut it down,” said KISS FM’s Ellen K. “I guess the calls had to be made personally by him.”

Bruce Jenner, Kardashian’s stepfather, will walk her down the aisle in place of the late Robert Kardashian, although the ceremony will pay tribute to him.

Kardashian’s wedding dress was designed by Vera Wang, however she is expected to make several wardrobe changes throughout the night.

On August 28 Selena Gomez (“Wizards of Waverly Place”) will host the pre-show for the MTV Video Music Awards.

Gomez will be joined by other MTV personalities while interviewing celebrities on the black carpet outside of Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles.

“When the Sun Goes Down” is Gomez’s current album with the band Scene. Although the album is No. 17 on the US pop charts, the band will not be performing at the awards show.

Lindsay Lohan is upset over a lyric in Pitbull’s song “Give Me Everything.” In the song there is a line that states: “I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan.”

Lohan is suing Pitbull and his producers as well as Ne-Yo and Afrojack, who wrote the song. Her attorney is claiming that the line “by virtue of its wide appeal, condemnation, excoriation, disparaging or defamatory statements by the defendants about the plaintiff are destined to do irreparable harm to the plaintiff.”

The suit is filed under the New York civil-rights laws and is seeking to stop all broadcasting of the song and to receive damages.

The lyric referenced the 13 months Lohan spent in the Los Angeles County Jail for violating her 2007 probation for driving under the influence.

Taylor Momsen performs with The Pretty Reckless

Former “Gossip Girl” star and all-around bad girl Taylor Momsen announced today that she is officially retiring from acting so she can focus on her music career and her band, The Pretty Reckless. Her only notable work includes the CW show and the part of Cindy Lou Who in 2001′s “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” To put that in perspective, it would be like if you got a job at McDonald’s and retired after serving five Big Macs and a couple of Happy Meals.

But, if you’re a semi-famous cute girl who dresses slutty and had a stint on a popular teen show, you can pretty much do whatever you want. She told Elle magazine, “I quit acting. I quit ‘Gossip Girl’ and now tour and am in a band. That’s pretty much all I want to do. Hopefully, I’ll be able to only do that for the rest of my life.”

Still, we think this is pretty reckless of her.
