Assassin’s Creed Origins will be set in ancient Egypt, from what we can gather from an off-screen capture posted on reddit.

According to Eurogamer, the footage can be traced back to reddit user “shoutouttoashraf” who’s username is similar to Ashraf Ismail, a designer in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag who is still working at Ubisoft Montreal.

The photograph shows a character riding a boat near a lighthouse with a shield and bow and arrow on his back. The mission objectives at the top left are asking the player to “Assassinate the crocodile” and “Follow Shadya to Khenut’s villa,” a reference to a Fifth Dynasty Egyptian queen. Previous reports have confirmed that the game would be set in Ancient Egypt and act as a prequel to the franchise. Considering the title of “Origins” which was announced via a WWG.com story, the game could be a return to form for the now ten year old series.

Ubisoft had said that they would take a break from Assassin’s Creed in 2016 after the franchise had fallen pray to the yearly release cycle. With both sales and ratings for seeing a steady decline, the yearlong break should prove to revitalize the series. Expect to hear more as E3 2017 grows closer.
