When I was a kid Marvel put out the What If… series (I have just dated myself). Issues featured questions such as “What If Spiderman Joined the Fantastic Four?” and “What If Thor Battled Conan the Barbarian?” They were fun, if frivolous, things to ponder, and I hadn’t thought about that series in years. But fashion and art and the movie business are cyclical, so the what ifs are back, though not under that particular label.

Next spring, as we are all still discussing whether Star Wars: The Force Awakens, was triumph or tragedy, Warner Brothers will release Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. I don’t exactly have the trailer to show you, but I now have a new Hollywood concoction–the exclusive sneak of the trailer, which is embedded herein. To see the full trailer, you must tune into Jimmy Kimmel (I know this might be asking too much) at 11:35 pm, EST on December 2.

As to what actually happens when Batman and Superman clash, I don’t know. The answer would seem fairly obvious, but maybe Batman has Kryptonite gloves and codpiece to even up the odds.
