As the world sits in eager anticipation for the release of her newest album, Pop Princess Britney Spears gives them a little taste of what is to come with album art from the upcoming Britney Jean and a handwritten letter to her fans posted on her website.
This longer-form piece of writing offers Britney fans across the world a chance to peek into where the singer is in her life right now. On top of her signature dance music, she says that she has also included a lot of personal songs that bring a vulnerable aspect to her sound. She uses this piece as her opportunity to explain her mindset when making this highly-anticipated new album. According to Britney, she “poured [her] heart and soul into this album” and shows a side of herself that she never has before. As her eighth studio album prepares to hit the shelves, Ms. Spears is proud to release her most personal recordings to date. It is a new evolution of Britney who has officially been a world phenomenon for more than fourteen years.
The world is no stranger to what has been happening in Britney’s life throughout the past few years and this album gives her a chance to provide her take on all of the drama and success she has experienced lately. She hopes that this album has more personal songs that her fans can both appreciate and relate to. She cannot wait to share this vulnerability with the world and bring her fans a new kind of Britney to enjoy.
She ends the letter by saying “I want to show you the different sides of Britney Spears. I am a performer. I am a Mom. I am funny. I am your friend! I am Britney Jean. Hope you love my labor of love!”
Hopefully the album art and thoughtful letter will satiate fans until the official album release date of December 3, 2013. Fans can pre-order the album and her new single “Perfume” starting November 5. Ms. Spears is probably not the only one who is “DYING for the world to hear it!”
