"In The Loop" - 2009 Sundance Portrait Session

Actor James Gandolfini, most well known for his emmy winning role as mob boss Tony Soprano in the HBO series The Sopranos has died.

The 51-year-old actor suffered a heart attack while in Italy to attend the 59th annual Taormina film festival.  The actor was most recently seen in the films “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone” and “Zero Dark Thirty” and was in the process of shooting and promoting the HBO limited event series “Criminal Justice.”

Born in Westwood, NJ, Gandolfini is survived by his  wife of four years, Deborah Lin, who gave birth to the couple’s daughter,Liliana in October. He also has a teenage son from a previous marriage.
