Leaked promo materials give first details on Bungie’s first post Halo game Joe Sinicki February 15, 2013 Gaming News We’ve been hearing all month that we’re going to finally be hearing about Bungie’s first multi-platform, post-Halo, Activision backed game Destiny this coming Monday, but it looks like some clever NeoGaf users may have figured things out a bit early. A slew of promo materials including game descriptions, box art and even character art have been posted on the infamous gaming message board. One of the cards even seems to give us our first details on the game’s storyline. “Everything changed with the arrival of the Traveler,” the card reads. “It sparked a Golden Age when our civilization spanned our solar system, but it didn’t last. Something hit us, knocked us down. The survivors built a city beneath the traveler, and have begun to explore our worlds, only to find them filled with deadly foes. You are a guardian of the last safe city on Earth, able to wield incredible power. Defend the city. Defeat our enemies. Reclaim what we have lost. Be brave.” Sign us up. The promo materials also seem to reveal character creation, “redefining gameplay” and of course… competitive multiplayer. We’re expected to hear more about Destiny this coming Monday.
