First things first, Beyonce has finally come clean and admitted that she did in-fact lip synch the National Anthem during Barrack Obama’s second inauguration last week. “I am a perfectionist,” she said, “and I did not have time to rehearse with the orchestra. It was a live television show, and a very very important emotional show for me…And due to the weather, due to the delay, due to no proper sound check, I did not feel comfortable taking a risk. It was about the president and the inauguration, and I wanted to make my country proud.”
Then, she did it live at a press conference for this Sunday’s Superbowl 47, and yep — she crushed it.
In case you were wondering, the singer said that she would definitely be singing live when she performs at Halftime of the Superbowl this Sunday.
