Google announced that today at 12 p.m. PST, or 3 p.m. EST, Google will once again have more stock of the Nexus 4 on sale at Google Play. Earlier this month, new inventory was sold out within hours, followed by a sellout of Nexus 4 for T-Mobile, followed by complaints across internet about lack of availability.

Nexus 4 is the Google-branded Android phone, which assures you will run the latest version of Android, now 4.2 Jelly Bean. Jelly Bean features Google Now context searching, improved voice recognition, and improved NFC (where two NFC do a bump together and share data). A new 4.2.1 Jelly is rolling out beginning today as well.

Nexus 4 popularity comes in part because it is “unlocked”. Meaning you are free to choose from among multiple compatible services for voice and data without being locked into the typical two-year contracts required by telecomm giants like T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, etc. Rather you might use a service such as Straight Talk.
