Pop-rock quartet Boys Like Girls returned to Boston last Saturday night, the second show of their fall tour with All American Rejects and The Ready Set. This marked not only their return to the area, but to the stage; following two albums, a world tour, and a wave of success, the band took a year and a half hiatus.

The Ready Set opened with a relatively brief set, warming up the crowd before All American Rejects took to the stage.  Touring in support of their most recent record, Kids In The Street, the latter group played a lengthy set. Front man Tyson Ritter proved himself all the while to be one of the craziest in the business, taking his on-stage antics above the stage and singing “When the World Comes Down” from the House of Blues balcony.

Boys Like Girls headlined the night, their set a combination of new tracks and radio favorites like “Love Drunk,” “The Great Escape,” and “Thunder.”  Assertions that “Boys Like Girls is back!” peppered the set, to the crowd’s delight.

Following this tour,  Boys Like Girls are set to release their third studio album, Crazy World, December 11.
