You know, Borderlands are some pretty cool dudes, and they’ve proven that tonight.

Destructoid reports of the sad passing of 22-year-old Michael John Mamaril. Both Michael and his brother Carlo were Borderlands fans, and as a tribute to his late brother, Carlo shot an e-mail to Gearbox Software, the creators of Borderlands asking for the game’s spunky robot claptrap to read his brother’s eulogy.

Not only did the company comply — they went above and beyond, and now Michael will love on forever as a Borderlands 2 NPC.

Head on over to Destructoid to listen to Claptrap read the eulogy, and look for Borderlands 2 next year.
