A press conference in London’s Whitehall announced the return of James Bond in the newest installment, “Skyfall”. Shooting has been delayed for more than a year due to MGM’s bankruptcy, but officially began on Thursday.

Daniel Craig will be starring as James Bond for the third time in the upcoming film, and will be opposed by Javier Bardem as the antagonist.

Sam Mendes, the director, says “[It has] all the elements of a classic Bond movie, including – to quell any rumours – lots of action”.

The film is scheduled to be released in 2012, coincidentally the 50th anniversary of the first Bond film, “Dr. No”.
