Japanese gamers may be getting the new Sony handheld; The PlayStation Vita under their Christmas trees, but don’t fret if you’re not in the far East, you won’t have much longer to wait. Sony has announced that the Vita will launch in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Australia on February 22.

The Vita, revealed last year will retail in two different models $249.99 for the Wi-Fi unit and $299.99 for 3G. By default, we now know the release date for a number of launch titles including Marvel VS Capcom 3 and Uncharted: Golden Abyss.

So…gettin’ one?
