DALLAS — A Texas firefighter was killed in a car accident Sunday.

Angelina River Volunteer Firefighter Anthony Quinten Meyers, 38, was working a Jasper County wildfire when the ATV he was riding in was struck by pickup truck that was also working the fire.

Meyers ran a stop sign and was hit by the truck, driven by a Texas Game Warden.

The crash occurred at 3:15 p.m, 15 miles northwest of Jasper

Meyers was taken to a Jasper hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
