Headlining the World Contamination Tour, My Chemical Romance made their long-awaited return to Boston for a Thursday night show at The House of Blues. In support of their recently released fourth studio album, “Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys,” the band brought along Kansas City based indie-rock band The Architects, along with long-time friends Thursday. Both openers played quick sets of around seven songs, before turning the stage over to Gerard Way and company. My Chemical Romance took control of the stage and proceeded to play songs from their entire discography to a sold out house of fans.

My Chemical Romance will be back in Boston again on August 9, supporting none other than Blink-182 at The Comcast Center. Also, make sure to check out Thursday at The House of Blues when they come around on July 20. During their set earlier this month, they made sure to inform fans that their set would be much longer than the mere seven songs that they played that night. Additionally, they’ll be with Taking Back Sunday. What do you have to lose?
