SPRINGFIELD — Police responded to an alleyway in Springfield on Saturday where they found a man fatally stabbed in the chest.

Carlos Gonzalez Beslanga, 32, of Newington, Conn., suffered the fatal stab wound that pierced his heart and a lung in the alleyway between 62 and 66 Cumberland Street at 4:30 p.m. after he angered a man on the street by urinating in the alley, according to Police Sergeant John Delaney.

Beslanga and the man argued until the suspect pulled out a large knife and stabbed Beslanga.

The victim was taken to Baystate Medical Center where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Captain Peter Dillon and Lieutenant Trent Duda of the Springfield Police Department are looking to arrest Luis Cintron, 37, and Noemy Ramos, 33, both of 66 Cumberland Street, for the murder. Both suspects are considered armed and dangerous, according to Sgt. John Delaney.

Investigators determined that the victim was visiting his mother on Cumberland Street when the homicide occurred. This is the eighth homicide in Springfield this year.
