I’ve decided to finally come to Boston.

While planning my 4 days and 3 nights in what is considered typical winter weather for Boston, this Florida born and raised girl has fears that she might just freeze.  Everyone who finds out I am going either tells me the “cold goes straight through your bones!!!!” or “why don’t you wait until it is spring because it’s just BRUTAL”. This is where reassurance would come in handy that I won’t, anyone? Scarves, coats, gloves, boots and hats are not part of my typical wardrobe so as I navigate my way through endless racks of what I am certain is not nearly thick enough to keep me warm, I ponder the thought of just waiting till I arrive to purchase anything. I have no idea what to do as far as this goes or why anyone would agree to live in such horrible weather yet I will be there ringing in the New Year and attempting to sight see while not looking like the kid from A Christmas Story in a snow suit.

I am looking for things that I absolutely must do and places to eat at while there. When I arrive on the 30th,  from arrival at 2pm until early afternoon of NYE Day, afternoon and evening on the 1st and Sunday is pretty much full as I will be attending Biggest Baddest Brunch in the ‘Burbs in honor of my favorite chef and if all goes well, the Dolphins vs. Patriots game before coming home. I just don’t know what do or go see first…..

I’ve also decided to rely on the MBTA for transportation. Somehow that has me second guessing my decision before even arriving but it’s the cheapest way to get around and it will get me to just about everywhere I need to go. I figure if I can navigate the Metro the T won’t be too hard, right? At least that’s what I’m telling myself.
