Attention indie music fans: Blast will once again be running all over New York City for the CMJ Music Marathon this week, bringing you concert reviews, artist interviews and photos from the hottest, hippest shows this annual festival has to offer.
This year’s lineup features some great artists, including Phoenix, Eisley and Das Racist. But here at Blast, we’re all about discovering new artists during this hectic week, so we’ll be focusing on more under-the-radar bands. After all, the best thing about the Music Marathon, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, is the potential to see the Next Big Thing in indie music and not even know it.
