NBC topped the Sunday ratings, thanks to the Giants-Bears game. Including the pre-game show at 8, the game averaged 15.2 million viewers, and a 5.7 18-49 rating.

Fox was in second for the night, with a strong showing from its animated block. At 8, “The Simpsons” was the top scripted show, with a 4.1 rating and 8.5 million viewers, up more than a million viewers and 4/10 of a rating point. “The Cleveland Show” held steady from last week with a 3.1 rating and 6.6 million viewers. At 9, “Family Guy” averaged a 3.9 rating and 7.9 million viewers, down 6/10 of a point from last week. “American Dad” averaged a 2.9 rating and 6 million viewers in its season premiere.

CBS was third, with “Amazing Race” drawing a 3.3 and 10.7 million viewers at 8 p.m. “Undercover Boss” was third in a competitive 9 p.m. hour with a 4.0 rating and 13 million viewers. “CSI: Miami’s” Sunday premiere was second at 10 with a 3.2 and 11.8 million viewers.

ABC was last for the night, pulled down by a poor showing of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” at 8. The show was last for the hour with a 2.5 rating and 8.6 million viewers. “Desperate Housewives” was second at 9 and the night’s top scripted show with 13 million viewers and a 4.3 rating. “Brother’s and Sisters” was a close third at 10, with a 3.0 rating and 9.2 million viewers.
