Ubisoft Paris, in the wee hours of this morning, unveiled the latest title in the expanding Ghost Recon series. The project is called Ghost Recon: Future Soldier and it’ll release at a to-be-determined date near the Holiday 2010 season.

The company released pretty much nothing besides its existence but did say, through use of wildly ambitious terms, the game will feature”cutting-edge technology, prototype high-tech weaponry, and state-of-the-art single-player and multiplayer modes.”

Ubisoft continued, saying the game will afford  “a fresh gameplay experience, with an unparalleled level of quality” and that it will “excite long-time fans and newcomers alike.”

A limited multiplayer beta will go live for the title this summer. The only way, as of this printing, to secure yourself a spot, is to purchase Splinter Cell: Conviction, which comes with the beta invitation.

As you could have guessed, Ghost Recon: Future Solider is currently in development for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
