Sparkly clean Nintendo today announced that over 100,000,000 Miis have been created by users (and bored GameStop employees on the demo machine) since the system launched in late 2006.

That lofty figure is broken down a bit by Nintendo when the company said 20 million were created by Japanese gamers and the other 80 million by North Americans, with no mention of the European market.

Reporting site Siliconera said the statistics came from a December 4 meeting with Nintendo President Satoru Iwata, meaning Holiday sales were not taken into consideration.

The company did however fail to note just how many of these Miis are depictions of Hitler, Jesus, Peter Griffin and the Devil.
