Having conquered‚ Comic-Con ’09, New Video NYC is happy to announce the DVD release of Felicia Day’s hit online sitcom The Guild. With the Season 3 premiere on August 25 on Xbox Live, the DVD will hit stores on September 29. The series, which has over 100, 000 subscribers on YouTube served as an inspiration for Joss Whedon’s blockbuster Internet sensation “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog.”
For those of you who haven’t heard about The Guild, the story follows Cyd Serman (Day), a modern girl who has hit rock bottom after being fired and dumped and turned to the world of online gaming and dawning the avatar “Codex”. After a player on her server mistakes their in-game rapport for true love and shows up at her door, Codex brings all the members of her online guild face to face…to extremely awkward results.
The DVD contains a large amount of bonus content along with the 22 episodes from seasons 1 and 2. The bonus content includes:
