Sony announced the $299 slimmed downed, but feature buffed piece of hardware last week at GamesCom and stated that the new console would hit retailers beginning in early September, however, the systems are already showing up at Best Buy’s and other fine electronics purveyors.

According to Gizmodo, who sent an intern to a Daytona Beach Best Buy, the systems are in healthy stock awaiting your purchase.

So if you’re in the market for a smaller, lighter, cheaper, and more capable PlayStation 3, call your local Best Buy/GameStop/anyone who sells electronics, ask if they’ve got ’em in stock, buy one, and enjoy the spoils of HD gaming!
