E3 2009: PSP development kit price reduced by 80%

If 2009 is to be the year of the PlayStation Portable, the reduction in the cost of the PSP dev. kit by a staggering 80% is sure to help.‚  By way of an official announcement from a Sony executive earlier today at the Sony media briefing, the PSP is now a lot more approachable.

Companies wanting to build games for the PSP can now do so at a much, much, much more affordable level.

We knew this was coming, as Sony hinted at the price drop earlier this year, but as E3 goes, say it hear and EVERYONE will hear it.

Good job Sony, you’ve stopped punching developers in the face in terms of asking prices.‚  Why’d you have to wait so long?
