The snow is coming to Boston.
A foot of the white stuff could find its way to the ground before the weekend is over in New England, according to the National Weather Service.
A Winter Storm Warning has been declared until 2 a.m. Saturday for all of Southern New England except for Cape Cod and the Massachusetts islands.
Western Massachusetts and Connecticut is already seeing the first parts of the storm. Boston will see snow between 1 and 2 p.m.

This Afternoon: Snow and areas of blowing snow, mainly after 1pm. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 34. East wind between 8 and 11 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.
Tonight: Snow and areas of blowing snow, mainly before 2am. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 17. Blustery, with a northeast wind between 21 and 25 mph, with gusts as high as 38 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.
Saturday: Snow showers, mainly between 3pm and 4pm. High near 22. Wind chill values as low as -2. Windy, with a north wind 23 to 26 mph decreasing to between 11 and 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
Saturday Night: Snow showers likely, mainly after 2am. Cloudy, with a low around 18. Northeast wind between 10 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
Sunday: Snow before 4pm, then rain and snow. High near 36. Breezy, with a east wind between 13 and 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
Sunday Night: Rain and snow likely before midnight, then a slight chance of snow between midnight and 3am. Partly cloudy and breezy, with a low around 17. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
