“The key to getting the most mileage out of a limited wardrobe is to maintain what you have and keep people guessing with different colors, prints, styles, accessories and more,” said Wardrobe Coach, Bridget Smith.

Here are seven of Smith’s style techniques that enable women of all ages, shapes and sizes to make their current wardrobes work the entire holiday season.

  1. Add Bang with a Belt: Add a funky belt to your outfit, or simply switch in a different color, print, fabric or width. Otherwise, change how you would normally wear it. E.g. around the natural waistline or over a fitted blazer.
  2. Switch the Shoes: Change the color, fabric and style of your shoes. Instead of basic black, go for sleek red patent peep-toe pumps or sexy black suede boots. Match the shoes with the belt for a stronger impact.
  3. Transform the Top: One simple switch can change the whole look. Instead of the usual blazer, opt for a festive cardigan to revitalize your outfit. A fitted black cashmere turtle neck worn with a beautiful cocktail skirt is a timeless elegant look.
  4. Add Pop with the Purse: Add some “pop” to an otherwise plain outfit with a vibrant colored purse, or spice up a simple staple with a fun scarf or brilliant vintage brooch.
  5. Go Glam with Gloves: Nothing says “Hollywood glamour” like a beautiful pair of evening gloves. A hot trend this season, which comes in short (to the wrist), mid-length (to the elbow), long (over the elbow), leather, satin or lace.
  6. Strategic Sparkle: Simply alternate the accessories you wear and change where you draw the attention. If you wear glimmering earrings one time, go for a brilliant choker or long necklace the next. If it was a stunning crystal bracelet last time, opt for a fabulous brooch the next.
  7. Take It Off: It doesn’t always have to be about adding on. If you wore a jacket last time, it’s time to show some skin. Tinted moisturizers or body shimmers such as Yardley London Apothecary Let It Glow body lotion add that touch of glam making the skin sparkle and shine.

Hi.I want to ask something. I have big shape of legs. What is the suggestion to make them look smaller and sexier? I love to wear short, mini skirt and dress. Thank you.

Got something to say?
