PopCap Games announced two titles from their hit puzzle and arcade hits will land on PS2 and Xbox 360 this fall:
PopCap Arcade Volume 1 will be available for Xbox 360 with Bejeweled 2, AstroPop, Feeding Frenzy and Zuma for $29.95. PopCap Hits Volume 1 hits PS2 featuring Bejeweled 2 and AstroPop for $19.95. This is the first time PopCap games will be available on Playstation 2. Arcade Volume 1 is the first retail release on Xbox 360 after successful Xbox Arcade launches.
"We’re very excited to be bringing some of our top million-selling casual games to consoles via retail shelves and eager to see how consumers respond," said Glenn Drover, director of retail sales at PopCap. "We’ve had tremendous success at retail with the PC versions of many of our games, and these new collections for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 2 are priced even more aggressively, so they should be a hit with holiday shoppers."
Over the years, PopCap’s Bejeweled and Bejeweled 2 have sold more than 10 million copies and have been downloaded more than 300 million times. AstroPop, Feeding Frenzy and Zuma have been well received also. Packaging them with the company’s marquee titles may help boost them to the next level.
